April 14, 200719 yr I was having this same discussion with a freind earlier and we argued about whether Guthans or Dharoks was better. I claimed Dharoks was better becuase it was cheap and can hit 50's. He said Guthans was better because it can heal you. Then we put our favorites in order like this: Dharoks > Guthans > Veracs > Ahrim > Karil > Torag. We generally agreed that Torag was not good. So, the topic for discussion is: Which Barrows set is in your opinion the best, most cost efficent, or just coolest? And the worst?
April 14, 200719 yr Depends what you want to do really... Veracs helps stakers out ALOT! Dharoks owns the wildy (I've seen a guy be 2 hit with 39 and 41!) Karils is the best ranger gear. Ahrims owns for Deep Wildy Guthans gets you the fire cape. And Torags.... erm... is cheap...

Ahrim lets you make snownoobs very easily. :twisted: Karil has high magic def (good for c wars or slayer). Dharok can be used for fast strength training. And torag... is cheap.

April 14, 200719 yr Depends on what you want. I have them all, and they're all useful in their own little ways. Veracs is probably my favorite, it is useful for duels and very helpful for my barrows. Dharok is really just a fun set. It's a lot of fun to hit high numbers, but it's not practical. Guthan is second favorite. It is a necessity for DK's, and very helpful in slayer and most other kinds of training. Karils is mainly just used for fight ahrim in barrows or surviving mages in CW. The bow owns though, I get great hits even at 71 range. Ahrims is probably the coolest armor. It is the only mage robes that give decent melee defense. Useful for pk'ing, cheap and effective(not like I take mine to wildy though. :P ) And lastly torags, it was my first set. The hammers and special effect suck. But it is great defensive armor. The best in game if I'm not mistaken. It's also the cheapest melee, which is good. Quit RS, combat 104, total 1651
April 14, 200719 yr Guthans > Dharok > Ahrims > Karils > Verac > Torags thats just my favorites though. overall it would be: Guthans > Verac > Ahrims > Dharok > Karils > Torags torag is worst because of terrible effect and same def as guthans with dharok legs or dharoks with guthan helm. 100% useless to anyone veracs i dont need because i dont kq or need for dueling, i already hit through everythings defence. 100% useless to me useful to other people for kq, staking, jad etc. karils beautiful mage defence and bow, bad effect 10% useful to me ahrims beautiful melee def for great mage att, most people pk in it 20% useful to me dharok hit 70s on other players if bored, some people pk in it 20% useful to me guthans train slayer without effort, afk jad, afk with phat set at dags 50% useful to me 4000000657th to 99 cookin555555406th to 99 flethcin
April 14, 200719 yr i melee as much as i can training stuff like prayer, slayer, def and i use melee as like my main source of income too by kq, dk etc. so my list is mainly 1. guthan - no bank trips, space to bring potions 2. torag - even when bring guthans training, i have a torag plate an legs to train in, the def is the best why wouldnt you. 3. dharok - i get my hp super low 10ish pray and kill stuff. works out good. 4. verac - just to hit thru armor and pray, the prayer bonus is good, makes barrows a wizz.

April 14, 200719 yr Guthan is the most useful, for me at least. I don't stake. I recently fell in love with the look of Ahrim though..Its great looking :D Veracs is also prett cool looking, and I use Karil for my ranging armor, so I have to give it some mention. :P

The others are of no use to me, I'll put them in an order for the sake of it: Ahrims (To me magic is a noncombat skill with slayer dart for barrows DK's, no use for it)> Dharock (I hate everyhting that hits slow)> Torag (uselessÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâò, if I want defence I'll just equip my guthans plate and body to save inv space) Retired 2146 overall - 136 combat - 6 skillcapes Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks.

April 14, 200719 yr There is no "best" set. All of the sets have their own drawbacks and benefits. Benefits Dharok: Cheap, good for PvP. Verac: Prayer bonus, can wear while maging (top gives -6 mage compared to plates, which give -30 mage), skirt is cheap, sometimes good PvP, Fire Caping, KQing. Guthan: Slayer, training, free food, Fire Caping, DKing. Torag: Cheap, good defense. Karil: Best mage defense in game, cheap. Ahrim: Best mage attack in game. Drawbacks: Dharok: useless other than for PvP. Verac: Expensive, you lose 2M helm if you die (I think). Guthan: Expensive, you lose 6M spear if you die. Is ~25% less effective than whip in terms of damage/hour, making it less efficient training. Torag: Useless set effect. Karil: Same range attack as Black Dhide, even less Melee Def. Ahrim: No range defense, low melee defense. In usefulness: Guthan>Verac>Karil>Ahrim>Dharok>Torag Ever wanted to find street prices of RS items?
