Arch_Tyrant
Recently level 99 skills have been becoming easier to obtain... With the addition of Pest Control, combat training became a peice of cake. With the addition of Pyramid Plunder, theiving became one of the easiest 99's to obtain. In the future there will possibly be updates that make other skills easier to train, which means we will be seeing alot more skill capes running around. What's unique about the quest cape is, it's becoming harder and harder to obtain with each new quest added to the game. If you thought aquiring a quest cape was hard now try to get one in a few years ( If this game is still around =\ ). These are the kind of things that make the quest cape my favorite cape of acheivment. What do you think about this?
goyanks135
i would agree, quest cape is the most hardest to get, but not most time comsuming. quest cape requires a semi-high combat and semi-high in almost all skills. with all the skills, the quest cape its one of the fastest, if not the fastest cape to get. 1707th to 99 hunter starting 99 fm soon
malo2
Indeed, I like the way the quest cape gets harder to obtain approximately twice a week, especially when harder quests, or quests with high requirements are released. Maybe some day ill start wearing a quest cape instead of a skill cape \ Lastfm
Marco
Well it's definatly not anywhere near the hardest cape to get, but personally a Quest Cape beats any Cooking/Fletching Cape hands down.

I concur, (mainly because I own a quest cape). What I don't like is that you can't use the quest cape to trim out another cape. We tried using an abyssal whip to 'suggest' they work faster

Freesia
quest cape is not hard to get, just tedious, troublesome and extremely time consuming. However, to get it solely without guides is then deemed respectable Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(. Guest
Your examples kind of confuse me. You mention pest control and pyramid plunder...These were in the game before skill capes. Those skills were already that easy the focus on them has changed but not the difficulty to get them. I don't think the quest cape is any harder look at the difficulty of the quests. Muscular_Ape
Not really. If you use guides then quest cape is just as easy if not easier than any other cape. When more quests are released more guides are released which sort of combat the idea of a new challenging quest to re-obtain your quest cape. However if you do it without guides then I would say you should wear your cape with pride :P
Arch_Tyrant
I don't think the quest cape is any harder look at the difficulty of the quests. Quest cape is not hard to get, just tedious, troublesome and extremely time consuming. That explains your answer. If you think about it...Every 99 skill isn't hard to get at all. Just tedious very time consuming and yes troublesome. Unless you find clicking multiple objects tens of thousands of times difficult then yes, getting a 99 is very hard. What my point is, Jagex is making newer ways of significantly reducing the time it takes to get 99 skills. All I'm saying is, the quest cape will never get any easier to obtain. If you use guides then quest cape is just as easy if not easier than any other cape. True yes. But even without guides quests are still quite difficult. Guides only lead you in the right direction, but it's you who has to get yourself to the final destination. First of all the quest cape is not "easy" to obtain and nowhere in my thread have I said that. The main idea of this topic is that Quest Cape's will be highly respected in the distant future, with all the new quest additions and new skill requirements. Even if they aren't the hardest quests they still add up. Two new quests a month in a few years can add a couple weeks maybe even months to the time it takes to train the skills and complete all the requirements to recieving a Quest Cape. Guest
The whole game is based on clicking lol, im really not arguing your point. I think you make valid ones but you click around to get through quests, you click around to get levels and honestly theres only 2 or 3 "hard" quests. dude_of_war4
i disagree with you trix, alot of runescape is clicking, but it teaches you about life (not including reproducing of course), merchanting? people do that IRL, scams and hackers? IRL aswell, if you get hacked once, you learn not to do that next time so you avoid those credit card scams, and the logic is quests (when you dont use a guide) click my sig for my blog!!!Thanks everyone for the sigs they pwn!No. Why should i give presents for someone in rs?Most selfish thing I've ever heard

Yeah exactly, and you say they add new quests every month, but what kind of quests? Basicly they're all quests that are easy and have a useless reward. Some people dream of success, while others make it happen.

game_proffy
The good thin about the quest cape, it shows that you love quests (which I do : ). A 99 skillcape shows either that you play really long (assuming you didn't devote your WHOLE time to one skill, but developed them equally), or you're a dedicated no-lifer who got this 99 in a few days'/weeks' worth. The quest cape, meanwhile, shows that you like to pass your time in Runescape by various ways - combat, skilling, and laughing! All or almost all the new quests hold some kinds of jokes in them - not always amusing, but some are truly spectacular! Phew, that was long... Phew, that was long... urrrm that first statement was so inncorect....so you're allowed to like quests but not skills? hmm yeah that sounds right.....just because 99 cooking and fletch pretty much show that you did one of those 2 things, seen as i don't know anyone who actually enjoys training those skills, but things like slayer, and other capes you may do because you like them Sig by me....
