Summoning's been coming since the dawn of RS2. I don't think that Evil Dave could reinforce that belief any more than it is.

although in most games people would regard this as the rambling of a crazy man, jagex likes to make us think things like that, then do it when we least expect it. But yes, summoning is comming. (or necromancy anyway)

I doubt that Jagex could make a whole skill out of summoning....

 

 

 

I think we may get it in bits and pieces, through quests (skeleton mages in swan song, combination creatures in tower of life {which I don't think Jagex has done with - remember those little lighty up blue squares that no one has figured out yet?}).

Now I already thought of Archaeology too ( Great mind think alike eh?). It would actually be a really great and fun skill if they make it the right way.

I have speculations of another sort of "skill". I'm thinking summoning. Gasp..don't look at me that way, there is lots of "evidence" imo. First and foremost, something about this caught my eye. Wallpaper of a Necromancer

Attack on Varrock

 

You can't keep a good necromancer down...or his legion of undead warriors. It looks like Varrock may be about to have a very bad day!

 

(For the Record Necromancy=Summoning but on Undead in a nutshell)

 

Now this is suggesting a Necromancer's "Attack" on Varrock. What I believe this to mean is that Varrock will be invaded by everyone trying out their newly summoned undead or monsters.

 

 

 

This could be a branch off of Magic or they could somehow implement it as its own skill, here's another hint to me,

Could these rocks be new runes for summoning at an alter in the digsite? Then experimenting will be trying out how you summon new things? Only time will tell. Now Let's look at another hint.

Taken from the March 30 CE Anagrams. It was able to be decoded into, Look for summoning, the history skill, or something along those lines. Well Museums deal with history, and the museum is getting an update. So could this mean that we are on the brink of summoning?

 

One more hint I discovered, upon completing Dream Mentor, the NPC contact of Evil Dave (via Random NPC) he mentions something about trying to get this Summoning thing down. A small hint, but a hint nonetheless. Also adding 4 new worlds is no coincidence IMO, something big is coming...just when.

 

 

 

Now call me "summoning-noob" or whatever, I think I have enough evidence to logically prove my point. Now i'm asking all of you, DON'T GET YOUR HOPES UP FOR SUMMONING! It could just be a bunch of coincidences/false hints. I'm just interpretting the facts we have into what I believe.

Summoning has already been in the game, back in RSC, if you managed to get your magic up high enough back when the game first started you could summon an skeleton. Although it was removed a short while after release of runescape.

Jagex has done this a lot. It'll be some time before it comes out... I'm really curious on what it's going to be like though...

I have been waiting for summoning for so long that now I don't really care about it.

It'll probally be a side skill of magic, like lunar, ancient, war-time, ect..

not another skill. it's already hard t get all of them to 70, i don't need one more "hunter"
