May 25, 200719 yr "They" meaning JaGex, so, if "they" can post the skills and the total experience of people on high scores, why cant they post quest points?!?! Sopport this!! ~[Blog]~[CrystalMathLabs]~[Last.fm]~
May 25, 200719 yr Think about it, anyone can have any amount of experience in any skill from 1-200,000,000. This is how the highscores are ranked, by experience in the skill, not the actual level. If jagex were to introduce the questpoints to the highscores it would be very confusing because there are only around 240qp, and so there would only be 240 ranks, with maybe about 1,000 or so people per rank. By popular demand, this signature is back- however I currently do not have a blog up at the moment and if I did I wouldn't update it. Sorry, the sig links to nowhere :( .
May 25, 200719 yr Why would you be interested in people's quest points? I don't support. Quests are unique because they provide a challenge or just something different from your boring, average skill training. They offer awesome storylines, some history about Gleinor, and some nice rewards at the end. Rewards could include massive chunks of experience(tons of combat exp in monkey madness), new teleports(thank you ectophial!), and new weapons(anchor). May 25, 200719 yr Interesting idea but it's not really practical. Currently the maximum amount of Quest Points that a player can obtain is 244. There are a lot of avid questers and many people who own a Quest Cape, so it'll be very difficult to feel unique amoungst several thousand other people who has completed all the quests. Now, if Jagex puts timestamp on when you've completed a quest, then we can see who are true Quest Masters, especially those who race to finish a quest the first day it's released. May 25, 200719 yr Maybe show it on people's high score page but not try and rank them? The OoC: Order of Cabbage. Guardians of 3,600,000+ Cabbages! That a lotta cabbage!----Quest Cape: 249 QP || Skill Total: 1623+ || 88/91 Thieving ||
May 25, 200719 yr If u have QP highscores in F2P, it wouldn't be hard to get them all. There would be thousands of players on top.
May 25, 200719 yr If u have QP highscores in F2P, it wouldn't be hard to get them all. There would be thousands of players on top. Yeah, F2P players wouldn't be showen at all. Plus, how can you tell who is on top? If several thousand people have the same quest points, how do they figure out which one goes highest? Say if 2 people have 244 quest points, who will go higher in these highscores?
May 25, 200719 yr Maybe show it on people's high score page but not try and rank them? That's my idea of showing QP in the Highscores. Along with your combat. "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."

But it really doesn't tell you anything about the person. The highscores show a unique representation of each person, while quest points are pretty generic, and would be pretty boring to look at.
May 25, 200719 yr I don't think they should make it like the normal highscores with quest points, but show your quest points if someone looks up your name... It would be really stupid browsing through quest points, because it would be like...Ok, 50,000 ppl have max quest points..big deal?
May 26, 200719 yr Maybe show it on people's high score page but not try and rank them? That's my idea of showing QP in the Highscores. Along with your combat. +1. Actually browsing via QPs seems completely useless. But I do stand by at least SHOWING them. Combat, I guess.
May 26, 200719 yr I have 181 qps for a lvl 71 character...I think that's pretty impressive. I support, mainly because I'm tired of people calling me a no-nothing noob because they've been playing longer, and they havn't done Heroes... Still alive, still alive.
May 26, 200719 yr It would be completely pointless, because there would be so many ppl with the same amount of qp's that 1000's of people at a time would be tied at once place :? ^Thanks Lil_Atza!I love the smell of napalm in the morning. ... Smells like...victory.
May 26, 200719 yr I honestly don't understand why you'd want to see peoples quest points. I mean, if you see them in the game you could easily ask them. Or, they'll have some sort of symbol which you can get a good idea how many quests they've done. Someone with barrows gloves are obviously up there, while someone with bronze aren't. You'll see people with crystal bows, the barrelchest anchor, ectophials and whatever else. Why not just add it to the "Player Spy" spell in the lunar spell section? It would make more sense to me.

May 26, 200719 yr It really isn't worth making highscores for quest points. There just aren't enough of them to be any point in high-scoring them. Maybe if there were like 1000+ qp and hundred of quests, then It might be worth high-scoring.
May 26, 200719 yr It'd be best as many ppl have said; shown but not ranked. There is no meaning or truth in life but that which we create for ourselves.

May 26, 200719 yr Jagex will probalby never introduce that type of highscores, mostly because there would be so many persons on every rank. For example i'm pretty sure that 50k+ people in F2P have 39 qp. Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak
May 26, 200719 yr Who would be rank 1? there are thousands of players with the maximum amount of qp. Computers will never be above humans because we made them. That's what monkeys used to say about us.

Actually browsing via QPs seems completely useless. But I do stand by at least SHOWING them. Combat, I guess. I agree with these guys, I think it would be a little fun seeing how my fellow friends are doing compared to me and each other, just for a little compition sake, but not have it be ranked. Same goes with combat, Im not very good at math (I barley passed calculus the second time I took it) and dont know the formula that goes into making up the combat lvl. And for the people who say just ask them, since most of my friends are still in high school or lower and I am in college, our schedules of playing are just not the same and I dont get to see them very much, so I use the Highscore comparison to see how well my friends are doing . Current goal: Getting enough prayer pots to finish my last four quests. Come to the dark side. We have cookies and flashlights.
