It's hard to tell, but I've seen macroers selling iron arrows and yews frequently (obviously macros because they say the same things, have automatic answers to questions, etc). Sometimes I'll trade them just to see if I can get them to misread the amount I offer, but so far they've all been too smart for that.

Once I was buying 20K ess, and this lvl 3 in default cloths and had a name like an autoer, offered me the whole 20K. I turned him down.

Never ever... I refuse to sell to them either, in the case of the auto-typers on world 2.

They offer horrible deals anyway

But, the same ones stand there and spam away their prices, I once found the same auto there, from a week before.

If they are offering a deal, you might as well buy off them. If you don't, someone else will. If you want to get rid of macroers, the solution isn't to stop buying from them in game, but for the people who are buying gp for cash to quit. Of course, some rich kid thinks he needs to, so it'll never stop :S.

Personally, I don't see the point, but the people who buy them obviously have so much money that it doesn't even bother them that they are spending large ammounts of money just to get ahead in a video game.

Huge quantities.

Low price.

Can't say no :-w

Can't go against that logic. I'm not going to lie, a great deal of anything in large quantities are probably from them. Few months back, I bought 20k Dragon Bones from a level 30. Might have been a macro, might have not.

Although its probably not the best feeling in the world buying something that you know people are doing illegally, I wouldn't want to waste my time (or someone elses) by doing it the old fashion way and collecting the stuff myself.

Although I do agree they are lazy. But also somewhat 'smart' in a sense. I don't know about you but typing something over and over who knows how many times until I get what I want isn't all that fun.

But I guess thats life, nothing will and ever has been perfect. -.-

Same thing happened to me. I'll never trade with them again if I can avoid it...

I bought my logs for 99 fletching from a lvl 3, They were selling the most and the cheapest so thats of course the buyer I'm going to choose. Since I paid in gp for them theres nothing that I'm doing wrong.

Us not buying from autoers isn't gonna fix the game. Unless we get millions of people to 'boycott' autoers (which will never happen) it won't impact the runescape economy at all. if i can buy 10k yew logs for 300 gp ea i'll buy it. even it's from an autoer.
