I buy from them because (i believe someones already said it) "Time is money"

the thing is i like money and money likes em so if i can get a good deal from a macro, I'm gonna take it.

I might have, I might have not. Whenever it's blatantly obvious that it's an autoer/farmer selling the items, I'm certainly not going to buy from them.

While one less customer for them won't make much of a difference in the terms of their overall sales, it definitely makes me feel better for knowing that I'm not supporting them.

However, I probably have bought from them without knowing it, and I unfortunately will continue without knowing it. It's sometimes hard to actually tell whether or not someone is an autoer/farmer.

Never ever... I refuse to sell to them either, in the case of the auto-typers on world 2.

They offer horrible deals anyway

But, the same ones stand there and spam away their prices, I once found the same auto there, from a week before.

+1 , someone

autoer:buying chins 600 ea/rune arrows 350/etc.

person #1:buying chins 550 ea!

swagger_g:sells to person #1 8-)

thats a realy sotry tbh. i pmed dusty i was gonna sell to autoer hes liek noo!....so even if they were givin me better deal...NO WAI.

How do you know person 1 isn't an autoer. They could take the program, set it at 15s intervals, put in random message where a certain word is spelt wrong, and go right along.

Many people who autotype are actually mostly legit players. The reason I know this is because I have a few friends who use an auto-typer(i don't personally, but oh is it tempting) and everything else they do in the game is legit. They just auto when they get a rare drop, or they need to buy supplies...None of them merchant. They just don't feel like spending hours typing the same thing over again, and who can blame them. Jagex should have added an up button like in IRC, or some command that put's what you just typed. Sure, people would spam using this method, but just only allow so many lines per 5 seconds or something. And if you spam, you will be logged out, unless you're in combat. repeated offenses could end up in a ban.

i dont have anything against auto typers, just lvl 3 bald headed nubs named asdd423.

Let your yellow mellow.

Huge quantities.

Low price.

Can't say no :-w

Yeah, all non-autos were selling upto 10k pure ess for 90 each.

This macro was selling 100k pure ess for 80 each.

What would you do, that's an awful lot of time and money saved.

Yes I have bought from a macroer.. I have 80 crafting if you know what I mean. Getting enough D hides is hard enough.. But if you have to trade 100x a few hides or 1 autoer stops by to sell you the whole bunch..

Same replies to everyone with 99 fletching probaly.. Common!

Yes, it is bad it its own way, but did you really mind at that moment?

If I can get everything I need from one person, I'll buy it from them. Autoer or not.

Turning them down just because they might macro means I waste more time looking for a legitimate seller and some-one else will buy it off the autoer anyway.

I don't it against my moral i hate macro they ruined the economy and the game.

Heck i don't even sell to people with auto typers.

They are dumb and need aprogram to type for them how lazy are those noobs

Although I do agree they are lazy. But also somewhat 'smart' in a sense. I don't know about you but typing something over and over who knows how many times until I get what I want isn't all that fun.

But I guess thats life, nothing will and ever has been perfect. -.-

They aren't smart if you can tell they are using an autotyper (*cough* write your own *cough*), it is and stays against the rules.

I would never buy an item from an Autoer/Macroer. Reason being, is that you can run the risk of being banned (Real World trading rule).

It doesn't matter about the prices, because if the Autoers are selling items at such a low price, then other, legitimate players will have to match the price in order to get any customers.

So, to sum up the question, no, I wouldn't buy from an Autoer/Macroer :notalk:.

This thread is about buying goods from autoers with gp. Therefore, you're not engaging in Real World item trading.

Personally, I wouldn't pass up a good deal if I saw one, even if I knew 100% my seller was an autoer.

I do the opposite. I sell to macroers. In W2, I just want to get in and get out. So I sell my bloods for 400 ea, deaths for 260ea and chaos for 110ea. Its fast, painless and well... Stupid, but oh well.

I have all the 99s, and have been playing since 2001. Comped 4/30/15

There needs to be a quest, you need to do before being able to trade someone. Trade someone as a reward for the quest! therefore macroers will reduce as they have to do summut other than tutorial island

Umm.. Stole my name? <.<

Any way, I have never bought from macroers. It's pathetic that they have to ruin a game just so they (Sweatshop workers/bosses) can make some cash. How about you go get a real freaking job like making all the junk that China makes that's shipped to USA?

Maybe that is a real job for them -.-. All that junk thats shipped to the US is the EXACT same as what your saying about macroers. So what you're saying is that all those most often less than legal sweatshops making products is more moral than making RS gp in a most likely less dangerous condition in front of multiple computers using automated programs? The options your stating aren't really better than the other.

As for me, if it's cheap, buy it. I think the maturity of players is more important than rule 7 but thats just my opinion.

I recently bought 5k flax from one for 90gp each. Not much of a deal but makes me more money in the long run. I will buy off them whenever they have a good deal, then report them for macro after the trade.
