meb
mEb, just alch in an random free area, like the barrow crypts, thats what I did and i got it done much faster, try it Are those random free? Wow, if that's true, thanks a lot. *Grabs teleother runes* :P Still randoms annoy me, everyone who has ever gotten a mysterious box at DKs or a Sandwich Lady at Steels knows what I'm talking about. Retired 2146 overall - 136 combat - 6 skillcapes Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks. totalpwnage
mEb, just alch in an random free area, like the barrow crypts, thats what I did and i got it done much faster, try it Are those random free? Wow, if that's true, thanks a lot. *Grabs teleother runes* :P Still randoms annoy me, everyone who has ever gotten a mysterious box at DKs or a Sandwich Lady at Steels knows what I\\'m talking about. Teleothers aren't effective anymore, they don't stop combat. The axe head random has been handled (no pun intended) by autoers for a long time. They would find a red dot on the minimap. If they didn\\'t get the axe head, it would try another dot. This did not work a few times, considering this was a solution in beta. One autoer that was just testing it ended up all the way in some random place. What jagex needs to fix is the Ent. When a tree turns into an Ent, the name of the tree turns yellow. If I\\'m not mistaken, a yellow dot spawns on the map too. Since autoers rely on colors to decide what they will do, they can use this to decide wether to attack or not. Most people don\\'t auto anymore, but they do something else. They legally (I believe) multilog, meaning they have about 3 accounts logged into different worlds then control them one at a time. 1 action on one, check the next one, and so on. I\\'ve seen this with many autoers, they\\'ll have all the same name but different numbers at the end of the name. I\\'d give examples, but I believe the \\\"No naming names\\\" rule applies there. I know they don\\'t auto though. If they do, then they sit at the keyboard whilst doing it. I\\'ve seen autoers talking quite a few times, sometimes saying inappropriate things. Saw one say 1,2,3 in like chinese. Quan,Ni,whatever 3 is. I recognized it because I know Ni means 2 from a user letter about the Wii and if they make a Wii 2, hilarity will ensue in China/Japan. Back on the topic though, new randoms cause autoers to spend a few hours having to patch their scripts. Most likely, programmers will make it so that if they do get teled to this random place, they will log out until they\\'ve gotten all the colors for doing this random. People that don\\'t have a lot of experience with the game probably won\\'t have it easy for this random, looking at the screenshots. In summary, this random event is a temporary help to people that aren\\'t autoers and stuff, and a solution to the problem of losing 2.5m just by clicking a tree and then reading forums on a maximized browser, which is the case most of the time I bet. This has happened to me with a rune axe before. Now, you will just have to go to lumby to get it fixed, and you will be able to multitask more efficently. EDIT: Sorry about the slashes, its the computer at this school :/ Started free trade with 1.5m cash. 2 weeks later, have hit max cash 2x. PvP drops: 359 Brawling Gloves, 11 Vesta's Longswords, 41+ Zaros/Ancient Statues9 Dragon Full Helms, 3 Dragonfire Shields on the old PvP loot system Brawler guide is being finished! Ilovesd90mac
I learned last week that autoers can script for just about any random event. There was one I always thought would be hard to script, but I was proved wrong last week. I got the prison pete/evil bob random event (6th random event in only 600 Maples :wall: ) It was loaded with people, and about 4 were level 3's with random names. They did beat prison pete faster than I did. Their scripting programs are getting really good!
ilovecuttingyews
Most "autos' these days are just chinese gold farmers. Since they are actual people, the head falling off was not really that effective. Yeah, sure many macros didn't pick up an axe head, but....would you pick up your iron axe head when you have another 100 in your bank?
mbrun
Why dont they make so that lvl 3 accounts with get more randoms that require a very difficult random to thwart? One they cant run away from. Its rediculous how much time I spend reporting them. Barrows Drops: Guthan's platelegs and War Spear, Dharok's plate body and Great Axe, Verac's Flail, Verac's Helm x 2, Ahrim's top, Dharok's plate legs Dragon Drops: Medium Helm x 4, Shield Left Half, plate legs x 2, skirt x 2. Its rediculous how much time I spend reporting them. They'd just make level 4 characters, no problem. Even if you'd make it 50+ (which would be very unfair) they'd just get that. Easy as that. And it's very unfair to skillers. When everything's been said and done, more has been said than done. All skills 80+

I\\'ve seen this with many autoers, they\\'ll have all the same name but different numbers at the end of the name. I saw this in a magazine for another game. In that other game one computer got one account. Well what one guy did (he was explaining how he did things to make himself cash in rl (made over $10,900 when he quit after 4 months of playing)) He had 27 computers on one monitor. He even explained that he had a community of people that he knew through chat rooms that helped others do this. It was funny that he worked in a basement and all the pc's were on a book shelf :-s My point is since so much people play this people who want cash put ideas to work of how to make fast game currency, sell it through the internet, and they can just keep remaking accounts. Its the peoples fault right there for buying Anyways that new random isnt random. My brother got it in f2p 2 times in a row in 1 hour : 4 lv 3 autoers were just moving one step in circles. It was funny.
dangelo
Autoers find a way round anything. And the reason you couldn't find a script that worked because you where probably using public access ones full of keyloggers :)

Yeah, sure many macros didn't pick up an axe head, but....would you pick up your iron axe head when you have another 100 in your bank? Erm most macros DID pick up the axe head, you don't know what you are talking about. 99% of these lvl 3's you see are bots, bots don't work with colours (like SCAR) but with Object ID's and a modified version of the rs client. I even know the name of the program (can't say it because it is against TIF rules but I can tell you it has the same name as a rs toolkit) and know that is written and update by one chinese guy who sells it for a few dollar / week. It even has an auto updater. The most gold farmers are there for more complex tasks like dragon slaying. - Back to casual f2p scaping due to limited time (university and girlfriend ) -
blouinator
the thing is though i dont think macros will be able to do the new random jagex exchanged the axe one with even i had trouble with the one thing about it and im not a macro lol

assassin1834
i don't think random events should be the answer to macroers... i reckon they would be better of to have lvl 20 or so aggressive wizards around all highly macroers areas, it would defiantly not get rid of all of them but would make much less! Sithlord123
Autos stink! When I was choppin' yews, they kept getting all of them. I mean a Jagex Mod should visit some worlds, and ban them. underu2000
So if i had an axe split into its handle and head, they would each form a new axe? So i get 2 new axes? Interesting, but it didn't happen to me... :boohoo: And personally, I wish it wasn't a random that teleported me away from the area. I would have prefered something like the broken axe one, which lets you stay there. Life is a joke. Yeah, I don't get it either.
gibsocam
Well this is sad to say....but i have tried autoing :shame: :shame: :shame: .....this was before i hit lvl 30-40, before tip.it, before i had any real respect for this game....and let me tell you, it was hard to find a script that had an auto-find axe when it broke. Now that jagex have eliminated this random event, it makes life much easy for all those autoers out there. i script for other stuff (like adventure quest) that script would be fairly easy to make. just a find color and click my friend knew this day would come, so he stocked up on weird item. His bank will be slightly more empty now
Danqazmlp
Think they are going to do this with the other two similar randoms(fishing net/harpoon and pickaxe)? Also, i think they should make very difficult random events that are CONSTANTLY changing, for certain skills. such as one with questions about current affairs which are ever changing. leapfrog
Also, i think they should make very difficult random events that are CONSTANTLY changing, for certain skills. such as one with questions about current affairs which are ever changing. I hope I don't get that random :ohnoes: Anyway, the axe head random was a major pain. People just stand where they watch the head go as it flies off, and it's even worse when people are making fires. I'm still waiting to try out the new random though  I guess cause I never saw the need. I also felt that if I moved into the version of the game that was always changing that it would in some way invalidate the work that I had already put into my account. EugenyG
They shouln't have removed the flying axe, they should have just fixed the biggest player complaint about it - losing the axe head which makes axe useless, and is a major suckage if you have Dragon axe. What they should have done is keep the axe flying, but do the following: - Make axe head (as well as axe handle) untradeable and unpickable (no more newbs stealing it) - Once (AND ONLY ONCE) the axe head has -completely- disappeared (not lying on floor, not in your inv, not in your bank), you should be able to get a new axe head from Bob in Lumby for a small fee (same fee as repairing broken axe from end random) - Can only have 1 axe head and 1 axe handle at a time, so macroers can't stack them up and use another when one falls off. In other words, make it work like Dwarf cannon - you can't get a free one if you have one, but if you lost yours you can get a replacement. Of course this only works if you lost the head in a random - if you just trade your axe to someone, you have to buy a new one for full price. That way macroers would still be prevented from cutting wood, but players who lost their Dragon axe wouldn't just find they are 3 mil short. Live free or die. First option is exhausted, so guess what remains?
Elvy_666
The axe head random was fixed within the first week when it was released and has been available on all good scripts/bots whathever since then. I know since I was part of the community back then (yes the account I cheated on got banned and I know what I did was wrong). You (threadstarter) probably looked on lousy sites with public scripts that people got from somewhere else. I used to be a [Caution] (Runescape Cheatnet) veteran because I wrote and distributed scripts myself. There is even an include (SRL) wich handles all random events. You as scripter only have to put in a few single lines of code for it to work. It will probably take some time before this random is 'solved' by autoers but it is bound to happen. Ahhhh yes, the SRL....this was out when i was still nooby...even with the SRL...i was still finding my characters running round in circles...then script stopping cause it couldn't find the axe.... I understand the new random has come into play and have also forgot to add that it does have an effect on the autoers.... BUT.... i suspect that this particular random wouldnt have the same odds as getting the axe head flying off....why? because the axe head flying off was a WC only random where as this new exam random is a {rs}worldwide random... tbh, dont ALL of you find that you get the MoM or the genie more often than you get mime or the drill demon? anyways off to work.... laters

lord_ownage
any handles missing a head have been whisked away to wherever it is that lonely axe handles go. BloodArgon
All the area updates will screw em up... Now, think about it, it doesnt make it easier, it makes it harder! Instead of clicking on rune colored triangle (which would be easy?) now they have to solve alot harder events (which get most taken away!) This is great news for all of us. 99 Crafting :: 39,750th || 99 Attack :: 1,775th
sweety6556
jagex basically just opened up the doors for the yew and willow autoers. good going mates, you just nerfed the Ents. (ents are the moving trees. i believe a while ago if you examined one it was something like, "Eek, an Ent.") I also want to make clear that I've never autoed on my current main account and also never will. I'm not active in the cheat community anymore. RS-CheatNet ftw! I was a mod there until it was closed. My original main "The Kuniva" was banned when jagex implemented a way to detect Silent mouse :wall: .. I went legit on my new main (Rrot) after that.. As far as the axe head flying off, any decent bot can beat that one easily, I can't count the amount of rune heads I've lost because I clicked a tree and switched to the forums, it's the main reason I never bought a dragon axe.
