I quit about a year ago. And I also left this forum about 2-4 months ago.

 

But last Friday I met a guy who was asking me for stuff since he knows I quit.

 

I thought "Yeah I can probably give him some stuff I dont use anymore." :-k

 

 

 

So I gave him most of my runes and other stuff I found on my other accounts.

 

 

 

 

 

When I told him my main was lvl 110 and I have a santa hat and a green mask, he begged me to trade it for stuff on Gaia Online.

 

 

 

Yeah, I go to Gaia cause I know some people in there. :-w

 

 

 

Anyways he gave me an item worth 510,000 gold.

 

Which by Gaia standards, is alot of gold. :-k

I would do the same as you, since you might come back after a while to runescape... i quitted a year to... i also thought i would never play it again but i did come back.

It sounds to me like he's just after your rares and trying to make you feel bad in order to get them. you worked hard for them and theres no reason you should get rid if them if you don't want to.

No, your not selfish, I myself have a green mask I will never be able to wear because my bank is overfull and I can't take it out; however I keep it in hoping that one day I'll get another. (If I have 2 in, I can take one out, and the 2nd will save it's spot in my bank. It's the whole idea behind my go ftp and keep membs stuff). If you want to give me that green mask though, I wouldn't say no....

The guy's true colors came out during that conversation. All he wanted was your rares for his personal gain. I suspected that's all he wanted but as soon as I read "I've never had anything since my main got banned" it pretty much confirmed my theory. You did the right thing.
