i will offer advice as long as they dont beg some times i may give cash

I don't usually help beggers. Instead, I tell them that if they want money, they have to start skilling and "Begging will only give you negative attention". If they asked nicely, I might give something to them, but if they beg, then it's a big NO NO. But then again, I'm not Andrew Gower meaning the pixelated money don't just fall in my hands, so if I'm nearly, I don't give anything no matter how nicely someone asked me.

Taking it the Smart Way!

I'll help someone if they want advice or something, or something small that they need to continue doing something (like a law rune or a rope) but I won't give them any coins or stuff that I need.

I either ignore them or flame them to hell and back, always a laugh.

Also fun directing them somehow so they get either killed or loose what little they do have.

yeah that is fun

i once directed one to the varrok dark wizards... bye bye to his full steel ^^

I'm gonna be walking down an alley in varrock, and walka is going to walk up to me in a trench coat and say "psst.. hey man, wanna buy some sara brew"

walka92- retired with 99 in attack, strength, defence, health, magic, ranged, prayer and herblore and 137 combat. some day i may return to claim 138 combat, but alas, that time has not yet come

I usually give them money if they only ask for a small ammount (2k and under). Otherwise I ignore them or just say no I can't spare anything to them before they even come to me. And then they usually proceed to call me a noob when I've been playing probably close to 2.5 years longer than they have..

I have yet to help a beggar who uses 1337 speak or taks lik dis.

Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.

i usually offer them advice, but i usually dont give them any items

in stead of giving them money i tell them some easy ways how they can make money their self

I do if they can spell properly. I'm a generally generous person.

You won't find me strolling around in f2p, ever :notalk:

People generally don't beg in member's servers that I am on,mwahahaha! They see my fighter's torso and black dhide chaps and apparently think I'm poor :XD:

Anyway... If the occasional beggar is asking for 10k or less, and using good grammar etc., I'll usually give them the money and a few words of money-making advice.

I normally either ignore them, or tell them that in fally there is a pickaxe and axe spawn, and so they can go get them and then work for a living.

"No"

"Hey sir, may I have some spare cash if you got it?"

"Yeh sure"

If they speak nice and aren't demanding for cash, I wil give it to them.

100% no!

FFS we all start this game without much and we earn everything ourselves(that is me,i dont know about you)

And we are suppose to allow beggars /noobs take the shortcut way by giving them what they want?

Giving beggers items/ cash is never going to help them in the long run instead it will help create more beggers in the future.

I will only give them some advice on how to earn cash

Beggers are ignored.

I do go sometimes to f2p and play a bit there with a friend. He always asks me how I can stand it. i ask what? The begging. I honestly did not notice but several people have been begging me.

Too many negative experiences I guess. Begging doesn't register any more. Maybe it is also because I have children myself. I'm also immune to their begging.

But we all know how it goes. They beg. You give something. They beg more. And the standard stuff such as 'lost everything in wildy' or 'i got hacked'. How can you lose everything in wildy? It's not possible. Unless you are skulled which means you went to the wildy risking everything on purpose.

Questions I answer. That's not begging.

----

I also have the problem with small time buyers. Sometimes they stand there in a bank asking to buy an addy axe or something similar cheap. I trade them. They ask how much?

At this point it has become all a waste of my time so I either click on on accept and give it for free or click the trade window away and move on, depending on my mood and the perception I got of the person I am trading with.

If someone asks for a few basic runes I usually give them for free.

People asking for a law I usually trade since strangely enough they can stand there asking for a law quite a long time some times. I don't really care about the money.

i offer them jobs.... getting feathers, mining iron, getting herb seconds.... stuff that lower lvls can do, and that i really need - i pay the going rate for the stuff i need -- sadly... i have only had a couple that actually want to 'work' for the gp <.<

I don't need to *get a life*~ i'm a gamer, i have lots of lives!

No. They caused it themselves and should not be rewarded for killing whatever dignity they may have left.

World 8 Varrock West Bank:

Begger: Spare 1k please?

Me: Ok

*Hands 1K to him*

Begger: God bless you!

I laughed myself silly at this

If they're not my friend then I don't help them. :-s

i dont give em anything and ignore them

i just say in all the time you spent begging you could have made 10x as much doing something productive.

This is very true. Once I was alching several hundred bows in the Catherby bank (about an hour of alching I would say) and the entire time an individual was begging for 300k because that person apparently just died and needed the money. It made no sense to me why someone would waste an hour begging when they could have earned that much or more in the same time frame.

I generally do not give anything to beggars other than advice on how to make money themselves.
