I remember a runescape with:

 

-a small varrock fountain

 

-the greatest varrock christmas ever with a giant christmas tree

 

-a falador with a mansion instead of a party hall(I hear you can hear those dang youngsters racket all the way by the rimmington house portals at 1am, thats why I moved to 777 Meork Lane, Yanille).

 

-A runescape announcing a new skill coming out inwhich you farm, and for the meanwhile you may steal the items in preparation of the skill.

I don't think "Good Old Days" is the proper term for that. Maybe something more like "Ancient Times".

I remember the biggest christmas holiday event in Varrock, when there was a big christmas tree instead of the fountain in Varrock. I loved that RS christmas :D

..getting lost if you wandered past Lumbridge. :XD:

 

 

 

..getting stuck in Draynor Maynor for hours and not knowing the way out.

 

 

 

..picking up iron knives in the Goblin house across the Lum and selling at the general store was good money.

 

 

 

..everybody fished on Karamja for Lobsters. And then we all begged for fire.

 

 

 

..getting my first Rune Med Helm and being sooo excited about it. I used nearly a whole inventory of lobsters to get it. (Speaking of which, I just got one fighting Lessers! Ha.. luck.)

 

 

 

..Edgeville was known as the "Ghost Town"

 

 

 

..Fires blocked doors; people abused that and blocked the bank doors.

 

 

 

..NPCs talked aloud; everyone could see what they were saying.

 

 

 

..I've got more. Too many to list, really.

If you don't like the current Runescape or miss the old one, no one is making you play.

I wish.. no YEARN for the days when we didnt have half the forums full of nostalgic runescape classic players who sound like my grandad harping on about "back in my day!!!". Go erect a 2d fountain to runescape classic or anything in the past and be done with it.

-when 76 fishing was a HUGE achievement

 

-Fishing guild with my old old crew (like 3 years back)

 

-when i got my first santa for 1,2

 

-when d meds were 2m each :o

I prefer R S 1 seeing as I was playing the original runescape I prefer to call it RS1. Classic is too cliched

Loved it when Experiments were the best place to train. Or when seeing a barrows set would be heavenly rare.

 

Back when it'd be normal to have HP higher than the other combat stats :|

 

Back when good, useful and powerful items were at fair prices.

lol, I remember those days before the Chivalry/Piety came out....what a pain it was to activate all melee prayers...

You have a point there. Most of it is exaggerated. Not genuine memories tho.

 

 

 

I've been playing both games since January 05, all I can remember is swarms upon swarms of bots in RSC before its closing. And Quamzy was ftw. RS2, getting 31 prayer thru goblins was my first goal. Everything else wasn't that special. But I do remember catching drop traders. I got a red mask and a santa through it. And sold them for under 5m each. I lost the money a long time ago tough.

thats probably the biggest thing that concerned me when i wanted to buy a "rare" item.

I remember: The old RSC scamming technique of putting a needle before you completed a trade, it was funny when noobs tried to scam ya' and they never succeeded to do so with me! (hope that one is ok).

 

 

 

When Runecrafting was introduced.

 

When Dragon medium helmet went for 2.5m+ (i bought mine for that, and i still got it =) )

 

When i bought a red party hat for 2.5m

 

When Halloween masks and Santa hats were dropped.

 

The immense mining clicking.

 

When you had no use for mithril seeds.

 

When some people appeared as "null".

 

The old pk'ing system.
