It's probably-and I'm just guessing here- because of the amount of water vapor in that space, theres so much of it that it becomes an opaque white. But thats just a guess

Dense deep clouds exhibit a high reflectance (70% to 95%) throughout the visible range of wavelengths: they thus appear white, at least from the top. Cloud droplets tend to scatter light efficiently, so that the intensity of the solar radiation decreases with depth into the cloud, hence the gray or even sometimes dark appearance of the clouds at their base.

I heard about a story of a guy who catapulted from a plane but the parachute didn't open and he fell on a tree and then on snow and survived. I'm guessing that'd be it.

 

 

 

I saw this show on Mythbusters about a stewardess who fell out an airplane, and she survived because she was in a part of the plane that catched the fall or something. (The plane had been broken in to like 4 pieces)

No, your stomach is like a water balloon that can't be tied shut. Sure it can stretch if you fill it with things like food, but if it's full of just water it the sides won't be able to stretch without just pushing the water out of the top of the balloon. If you drink 1 gallon of water, your stomach will quickly pass it on to the intestines. But the stomach can't pass milk it to the intestines until it has digested all the protein in there. Hence, if you drink 1 gallon of milk the stomach can't hold it all at once and it takes ~2-3 hours to digest all that protein.

Well snow is actually mostly air. Snow only has 1.5 inches of water per foot of snow. So 10 feet of snow is 15 inches of water, about a foot. A lot of this water would be absorbed into the ground especially in places like the Sahara. The rest would melt pretty soon, in the sun in most parts of the world. The net effect would probably be the ocean's rising by about 10 inches.

Good question, impossible to tell though since most money is kept electronically these days. My guess is the world's actual cash reserves is about 3/4 that of the worlds GDP (48 trillion).

Eh? I don't see the room for debate on this one. If it's engines were going and the treadmill was running backwards to ensure the plane remained stationary, no it couldn't.

 

If the treadmill propelled a plane with no engines, it's would eventually reach a flight velocity but it's tires would loose grip as soon as the force made the pressure was equal to the Normal Force. It would never go airborne, it's tires would just start to slip causing it to slow down until it was able to speed up again, ad nauseum, ad nauseum.

 

 

 

Is there any point in space where you are not affected by any gravity whatsoever?

No. Newton's law of gravitational acceleration states that you are affected by the force of gravity of an object no matter how far away you are. So even if the entire universe was made of just you and a teddy bear, and the teddy bear was trillions of light years away, you would still be affected by it's gravity.

I'd really like to know why some people insist on assuming answers to difficult questions when there are only unverifiable ideas and then why some of these people act as if it's odd or wierd when someone is truly honest with themselves and dosen't pretend to know the answers to these questions.

 

 

 

I'd also like to know why those being honest in not pretending to be privy to these answers are thought to be untrustworthy, hateful, unbalanced and are constantly misrepresented.

 

 

 

But... I kind of do know the answers to these questions. It's the way society and parenting works. Mother -> child -> accept, repeat. Mother -> child -> accept, repeat.
