Things your family does

Featured Replies

Are there any things that your family does that is weird or funny or even disgusting?

For example in my family whenever we get fortune cookies we read them out loud, but at the end of every fortune, add "in bed". You get some pretty funny stuff. Strange thing is.....my grandma came up with that  .

Umm something weird is when we all sit down at the table for a roast dinner or something someone always gets picked on lol we take the piss out of each other at the table... Guess that's how I developed a sarcastic sense of humour and people easily get offended because I assume they can cop it on the chin.

The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours.

We watch Scrubs. Well, everyone bar Dad.

Heh, couldn't think of anything.

Cool.

My dad used to be a rally driver,

until he wrapped his car around a tree whilst in a race..

so when we go out somewhere, and dad is driving, he'll push it as much as he can, and with mum in the passenger seat, she'll clap her hands frantically, scream and shout, and grab the edges of the seat by her legs, if dad is going to fast, approaching a junction, overtaking or undertaking.

which is fine, because it doesn't normally bother me, unless, either my friends are in the car, or my girlfriend, which makes things 100x more embarrassing for me.

Hrm.. My Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother talk about each other to one another all the time.

My Great Grandmother will talk about my Grandmother with my mother.

My Grantmother will talk about ym Great Grandmother with my mother.

My Great Grrandmother and my Grandmother will also talk about my mum with one another.

It's rather funny as if one person gets annoyed with another, they will talk badly about them to the other. :XD:

I'm normally in the rpesence of oe of the phone calls, so it's rather funny tuning in to hear them getting angry.

Happens all the time.

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Yeah I got that, my sister incessently teases me so I give as good as I get now, and I've now developed a really fierce dinnertable attitude sometimes with my parents.

"Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"

Always take the piss out of each other too.

Tells me to get a job and go out more.

My whole family games. Although I do more then them, they still have a good amount of time in gaming.

Its funny, we really dont talk that much except at the dinner table.

Your Guide to Posting! Behave or I will send my Moose mounted Beaver launchers at you!

- Be a doctor, or a scientist (If I did become a doctor or a nurse, I'd be the 5th doctor and the 10th nurse in the whole family);

- Being nagged to be always the top of my class, if not, my year;

- Hearing my mum complain about my electric guitar and how I should play my piano instead;

- The lecture about my parents 'walking miles to just to get to school'

My parents as asian, if you don't get it.

Ultra Unholy,

Hearted Machine...

Dance. Like seriously just everyone starts dancing. My dad likes to show off new moves he learned/made up. His newest includes "drop dead", "naughty boy" and "african ma". Yeah he'll do those in front of anyone. Sad part is we all join in. Don't need an occassion. Only today he "dropped dead" in Debenhams because they were playing some ragga tune in the electrical department.

SHH HUT YUH MUH. DERKHED.

My dad and I make perverted jokes, and point out things about other people. Ie, driving along, see someone on the street, "Dude! Look at that guy! What a jackass!"

Stuff like that.

And my mom comes up with new names for everyone every day or so. The other day, I was Xander something McHumphries.

Me and my little brother call eachother the worst things we can think of.

Me: Hey [bleep] face, let's goto Mac's.

Brandon: Okay.

It's kinda fun.

It really has

We play cards. It's in our extended family (dad's side). For about a 5+ generations we have all played this certain card game. Whenever I go to Edmonton we always get together and play cards. The game is called Rummy (none of you probably know how to play it; it is very complicated). My grandparents play with their brothers and sisters every Saturday from about 11pm-4am for real money. We just play with chips.

It's become a joke now that if you don't know how to play cards you arent a real .

Lol my mom does that all the time. She claims that "teasing builds character"

Anyway, I could go on and on about the weirdness in my family. Here's a jewel: a couple years ago, my mother accidently presented herself nude in front of the construction workers who arrived to remodel our house :wall:

How does that happen?!? 0_O

"The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."

no, but then again I rarely talk to other members of my family. I guess a weird thing is that we call my younger sibling "wee man" and "wee girl" instead of their real names. Together they are "wee folk". I've been calling them that for as long as I can remember.

- The lecture about my parents 'walking miles to just to get to school'

 Yeah I get the asian part of your case.. My case is a bit different as my father is from southern europe, more precisely ex. yugoslavia,

and I sure got my share of the "wake up lazy ***** when I was your age I biked 7 miles every morning to buy bread and attend school at 6.am and feed the dog and swim across the lake and take out the rubbish of the entire neighbourhood and god knows what else"

Sure I respect that, knowing he didn't come from an exactly wealthy family, but makes me wonder if there's some exaggeration in there :-$

Oo I know Rummy, Jin(Gin?) Rummy is fun too.

Another one is I can't join in the card game called bull sh*t... Because I can't lie to another persons face...

It sounds a bit like this... 5 of spades *giggle* BULL SH*T! Damn I lose again :XD:

That's a fun game. :)

I went on this week-long hiking camp for school, and for one of the days, we couldn't move, because it was a white out (in retrospect, we really should have moved). So for that day, I was just in a tent with some other people, eating soup and playing cheat (or bullsh*t). I got pretty alright at it.

Cool.

Me and my brother take the piss out of each other all the time. And my brother points to random girls and says "She's your future girlfriend". There was this one time when she was looking at us as we drove past. Needless to say her expression was hilarious.

Tell me to get a hair cut

Tell my sister to eat more (shes like 9 stone but apparently shes too thin)

Tell me to look for jobs other than my paper round
