Low or high total xp? What's your opinion on it?

Featured Replies

I am a person who is more a skiller then a fighter. I like to keep my stats close to each other. My lowest skill is 60 and my highest is 81. Because of this I have a VERY low amount of total xp (Look at screenshot at the end of the post.) But what's your opinion on total xp? Do you like high total xp or do you want to keep you skills close to each other, and have a low amount of total xp? Or is it something else?

The screenshot from my total xp plus the rank:

Was about to crop the picture, but I had to go away from the computer, sorry.

 All the players above you have about the same total exp as you, and all the players below have insanely high ones.

Personally I just train skills I like, don't really keep track of these things :P

Well he has the lowest exp for that skill total lol so all the highest ranked people for the skill total below him have the highest exp for their skill total, but i too found that picture amusing lol.

Quit. PM me if you play The Conduit to exchange friend codes.

1592 total with little over 21M experience.

My lowest skill being 55, highest being 80.

I can't be bothered with my total experience. Nor with my total level. Nor with the level of any individual skill. Although I have more respect for low experience, which would mean they train every skill. Means you know more about the game and how to enjoy it. Else you wouldn't train the other skills.

I think xp means nothing other than in high score ranks where lvls double up.

I think the true debate is whether it is better to be judged by ur combat (as most do) or by your total lvl.

IMO total lvl means more than combat lvl

I'd rate a lvl 3 skiller with lvl 1000 total higher than a lvl 90 combat with like 500 total lvl

I don't get my levels up just to get higher total xp, mine is quite good i suppose. Im 1538 overall with coming up to 50 million total. I'm not bothered about my overall level nowadays so i expect before i get 1600 to be near 70 million.

Its not a big deal, i highly doubt you'll get someone saying "lol low xp for your level".

Edit, WAIT A MINUTE, is that a gooner i spy on the starboard! I'd think up something insulting to put in my post but i cba

Personally my skills are spread all over the place...but I have pretty high total xp. I just like certain skills and leave other ones hanging and use genie lamps and tears to raise slowly.

I don't really care for Total xp or Total lvl. I train the skills I like or become useful at some level.

It just means that your levels are all about the same, so you don't have some random 13m xp for a lvl 99.

I go for total XP over level. Im 128M xp for 1926 total, putting me at an average of 5.5M per skill. So Im averaging around level 90 skill-wise.

The only time i care about total xp is when i talk to my IRL friend about rs. They may have 200 more lvls on me...but i can match there total xp :D

Ive always been of the opinion that 99 is 99 whether you have just over the 13 mil exp it takes to reach it or whether you have 200mil. The only reason I have above the minimum exp in any of my 99's is just daily use of that skill not outright training of it once im past 99. If someone really loves a skill that much to continue it fine, if someone really needs their name on page 1 of a skill list thats their preference. I haven't found anything I like doing that much to continue it past 99 as far as outright training goes. Enough people know who I am without me being on page 1 of every skill I have a 99 in. If you don't have all 99's you're waisting your time putting exp to a skill you have "finished" in my opinion.

total skill (number) isn't an accurate depiction of effort put into the game. The actual xp amount shines light on the subject like nothing else can.

So by your theory someone with 2 99's maxed to 200 mil exp would be considered a better player than me someone with 18 99's and just over 320 mil exp

IMHO, I think your question is one of the most insignificant questions ever.

I never bothered to even think about what you're asking about.

I train the skills I like better.

aglipoy.png
... Because of this I have a VERY low amount of total xp

Ok, that tells me that you are a very efficient leveler.

In other words, you were "smart" and spent the least amount

of time and effort getting as high as you did.

Do you like high total xp or do you want to keep you skills close to each other, and have a low amount of total xp?

Does it matter? To whom? Why?

Play in whatever style pleases you.

That could be exactly the same exp in Atk, Str, and Def (like me)

or the same level for all stats (like the player with all 88's that

always levels all skills evenly), or get multiple 200M exp skills.

Just have fun playing in "your" style.

Really

Hope this helps

Either way the bottomline comes down too....Train the skills that you want, to the lvls and or exact amount of experience that you want to.

Yes but even still, thats like saying that a person with 99 cooking, fletching and say firemaking, has 100mil exp total; Is better then someone with say the 50 total lvls higher yet has 99 only 99 Mining and 95 agility.

Which in that case I personally along with many others would probaly disagree with that statement.

I say total level is more important. Once you get levels high it's not hard to get xp from them, but it's tough when you're starting out too. If you check my siggy I fully believe in this, with a total 1630+ and not even 30 mil xp yet, but it all depends on thre way you play which is more important

i have nearly 350 skills lower than you, and over 51 million exp higher. i think its al ittle bit cool \'

Well after a while exp will built up anyway, i'd say total level is more important and i see no point in training a skill after 99 really either.

yes well having 60 in every stat is pretty useless as well, even tho it would give an "okay" skill total.

u cant really do anything in the 60's 70's

Comparing to my friends and to people that have posted here, it seems I have a huge total level compared to my total exp. (1412 total, less than 9,5m exp) Compare me to a friend that has a similar total lvl, he only has 30 more levels but 21,5m more exp, or a friend that has a similar total exp and has 200 less total levels.
