I figure this might be big enough news worth discussion, but I'm pretty biased since I've been waiting for Nintendo to return to #1 in consoles for years. Well, it finally happened. This is a huge milestone for Nintendo, and it's great to have seen the long time underdog finally get back where it belongs. :)

I hope this news means that more GOOD Wii games are coming. It's tough to comprehend 10 mil sales when there's barely any good games for it :|

I've got to say even though i've had a PS2, a PS3, and a Sega i want Nintendo to go all the way. I've had a Nintendo 64 and a GameCube but i've always loved the Mario series.

Metroid's coming out this month I think. The first good game in a long time. I haven't played since winter really, and now with college starting I won't be able to play Metroid for awhile. :(

Actually, you don't need a friend code for the recent Wii games that are Wi-Fi compatable. You can play whoever you want.

Got mine at christmas and i've never regretted the choice since! My gf is buying me a Ps3 for christmas too! :D

Hopefully some games come out that I am interested in. Just the other day I did get the urge to play again after a few months, but I ended up watching a movie instead. I figure one of these days I will get into it again.

strange, I don't really like the wii much, the motion sensor controllers are a pain in the butt whenever I've used them...Seriously, they are always just slightly out of alignment for me and its irritating.

 

 

 

PS3 is too expensive for me and theres no games for it (I'm talking about exclusives, there are too few).

 

 

 

360 is definitely the best to me. It's got the achievments which give all my games plenty of replay value, as well as Dead Rising which is probably my favorite game ever :D :D :D

This, coupled with the great games coming this fall (Metroid Prime 3 this month! WOOT!), could potentially set the stage for Wii to dominate.

Nintendo did a great job with its marketing

 

 

 

Now if only they focus on the gaming experience, the friend code is incredibly lame :(

It's really nice that Wii has outsold the 360 but I really don't think it'll matter until it outsells the 360 and ps3 combined at around 14million systems. Then third party companies might actually bring something to wii other than crappy ports.

I've been checking up on the site pretty much wating for it too update. I was so happy when it became first :D. And they are still selling like mad.

If you make your games appealing to both gamers and non-gamers, you will sell. Nintendo has great marketing skillz.

Are those the charts since the systems have been released? Or the charts for this month?

I have been waiting for this for a long time. When Brawl comes out be prepared for the sales to go up up up. :thumbsup:

I wonder how long the momentum will last. Eventually its hardware will start getting moldy and will get blown out by the more advanced systems. I'll give that a year or so.
