Did Jagex forget something...

You can still change your clothes and hair for free

This week we're giving YOU an update, as we release a variety of additions to your player appearance options... and for the first week they're free!

I expected them to remove it with the following week's update, but we obviously didn't get one...Maybe they forgot that too :-k

They forgot nothing

it said for the first week they are free

it never specified it would end at the end of the first week

unlike holiday where they say "will melt after 2 weeks" then 2 weeks later it goes

First week free tells us the first week is DEFINATELY free it however gives no definte end to being free

Given the new interface, and the fact that some garments strike me as being "classier" than others, maybe they decided that each garment should have its own individual price; but they still haven't decided on good prices for them. For example: A golden cuff would obviously cost more than a silver one, no?

Easy explanation.

The Jagex mod who posted the thread on the forums about the system update on Monday commented on this when he was asked. He said that the guy who writes the Behind The Scenes does it on the assumption that there will be an update every week, so what the BTS should've said was that it would be free until the next content release. Since they've skipped a week (As alluded to in the post), the clothes will remain free for this week into next Monday or Tuesday when God Wars is released.

They forget a lot...I still can't wear a beret, the Lederhosen hat or the mage training area hat!

Jagex does seem a bit unorganised.

perhaps (not saying anything for sure), they;re working on last-minute adjustments for Gwd....?

Its not necessarly that they forgot about it, because Jagex is a pretty big orginization, and abviously, must be well organized to be sucessful.

However, in the real world, sometimes Big things take priority over little things.

You must remember Jagex works in the real world, not a game world.

If your working on a big project (Example: God Dung) and need more manpower to get the job done, mods/workers from other smaller projects will be asked to stop what their doing to help.

Because of this you may find some projects "forgotten" when they were mearly posponed for a bigger update.

People can only do so much at once, and this is a likley reason for small things getting pushed aside for big ones. After the god wars update, we will proly see alot of the material that was missing, once people return to their origional jobs.

But Jagex is a company, and dosent simply "forget" about a project.

If something was left out or posponed, theres a reason for it.

maybe they realised how much people used the chothing/hair changing while it was free, and decided to keep it that way.

Sounds good to me!

+1

I engineered this thread with precise variables that I know would cause lul-worthy flames.

Seems to me alot like people here spend too much time nitpicking on details @Jagex and runescape, instead of enjoying it.

ok king nitpick of tipit.

jagex forgot wilderness tag too. that made me depressed, i thought the wild would be more popular with that introduced.

they will probably change it when they release the god wars dungeon.

Why am i the king of nitpick? I'm not the one pointing out every fault i come across of in RS.

On the other hand, a kid like u should consider not playing this game anymore, since u just wrote it made u depressed, a feeling a COMPUTER GAME should never trigger in any human... you are human, yeah? -.-

To be honest, it would concern me if they had to do this sort of thing with a major update. I would expect that the dungeon would have been developed, tested, and be pretty much ready to go BEFORE it was announced in BTS. Otherwise it really opens Jagex up for a killer bug which would look really bad (release with bug or delay release??). I'd only expect KB updates to be done in the weeks leading up to final release of an update (and we've seen that even those happen well in advance at times).

WARNING: Prone to ramble ... but you probably already know that!
