The God Wars Dungeon

This thread is about the discussion and speculation of how the God Wars Dungeon will be formatted, in other words, how it will play. Will it be an icy fight caves? Will it be a combination of Castle Wars and the Fight Pits?

 

Will it be something else entirely? That is what this thread is about. Also, I assume Jagex will try to make this game playable to most people, as this is (one of) the most anticipated updates of the year, so in that fashion, there should be rewards for the lower level players, such as armor, clothing, or other rewards(think of the shops requiring caste wars tickets, Pieces of Eight, and others). I really mean for this to be a discussion about the Minigame itself, and not just when it will come our, or the GodSword.

 

 

 

Edit: Aparrently people think that it won't be a minigame at all. Unfortunately, that ruined my idea of a big frozen plain with a cutscene of a massive Zamorakian army marching in... oh well.

I doubt it will be geared for low lvl people.

 

Just thinking about the name makes me shiver in my boots.

 

 

 

Hopefully it will have rewards with 80 att/str/def requirments, making it better than barrows.

 

However I highly doubt this.

 

 

 

And i agree with above poster, it will most likely be a dungeon not a mini-game.

I reckon the god wars cave will be either a icy fight cave like you said or the most dangerous dungeon known to man. I think there will be like level 100 monsters or so in it and the boss in the dungeon/minigame will have a chance to get the godsword. Maybe the boss will have a drop rate of the godsword similiar to the drop rate for the d chain for the kq. Only time will tell........

dks and waterbirth dungeon combined.tehyre will be the dagganoth kings equivalent of a few very high level boss monsters which will probably drop 3rd age weapons and then we will get some sort of mini gamelike fight caves to retrieve the god sword.

 

 

 

this is what im thinking but im hoping that the lower level monsters fighting around with each other are interactable and that they have a super rare drop of dragon boots and dragon picaxe ::'

I'm thinking a kind of Waterbirth Dungeon but with a lower end start (they said Goblins were involved). Then you will need a team to venture deeper, with a new kind of training monster somewhere halfway (with the same oiwer level as Hellhounds) wich could possibly drop new stuff. Then it goes further to the boss(es), where the goodies await us.

lol :) there are a lot of threads about this but meh, im thinking its going to be like dks as well with fightcaves mixed in so youll need a team but like in fightcaves a simple inventory of food and super sets wont get you anywhere, so a strategical inventory would put a twist on it and a lot of people are saying how they hope its not tradeable but if you need a team then im pretty sure its going to be.

I don't really think they're going to be low levelled goblins though :P

 

 

 

As for surroundings, I don't really think it will be icy, as it says everything's melted, so i'm assuming a fair bit of water :P Maybe maybe monsters that move around only in the water (ducks, monsters in dag king lair) or water in and on land (crocodiles). I personally hope whatever 'boss' monster they decide to put it (there has to be one, right? :P) in they don't go with a dragon or demon, and create something completely new :oops: I also assume that the npcs will be fighting each other all over the place too, as it is a war :P

I persoanlly want it to be a surprise, it builds the suspense more. :D

 

But it will probably just be the most dangerous dungeon known to man (and more dangerous than some only known to dolphins :ohnoes: ).

All I hope for is Jagex makes it so difficult no one will complete it in a day, nor a week. Perhaps taking you over 30 hours to complete the entire dungeon, doing only what is necessary, imagine Ocarina Of Time, all of the dungeons put together, then add in all the mini-games,side-quests to do in it, and put it into a God War's Dungeon.

 

 

 

Though, don't think I'm messing, I'm serious. I want Jagex to put something, into the game which is difficult, could possibly take you a month to complete, no-lifing on it. :)

 

 

 

But anyways, the dungeon will probably have 10 warning signs, and be completable in 2 hours, 30 minutes if you use a guide. <.<

Then it would be to easy because if it took you a month no lifing you would be able to bank and stuff.

I probably agree with you the most. A long dungeon full of powerful creatures with their own drops, leading up to very powerful boss monsters at the end sounds quite accurate. Then either the boss monsters drop the godsword or there's a separate thing for that (doesn't seem awfully likely, but meh).

RS is not built like a console game they aren't making anything taking 30 hours to complete lol

Doubt it, It's gonna be a God Sword probably, or a Dragon Pickaxe perhaps, allthough i don't see much use for that, it will probably be overrated, like the Dragon Hatchet.

The Goblins you speak of shall be more powerful! It says that the monsters were frozen in time. In the Goblin races book from Death To Dorgeshuun, it says that the goblins from the third age were more powerful and organized. Another page says that "sketchy record that have survived from the third age..." That is proof that there were goblins then, and if JaGex say that there are goblins involved, then there will be 3rd Age Goblins in the God Wars dungeon! It also say that goblins were used as footsoldiers to fight other Gods, and that their armour was also more powerful. (3rd Age Goblin mail: cross your fingers.)
