In any case, dragon chains really aren't that valuable any more, I doubt they'll drop any lower... You can solo the KQ with multiple weapons, this one's just a bit easier.

 

 

 

I sure hope chains don't drop any more, 'cause then Ill have a perm. source of income once I get my combat up. Need something expensive? Go grab a free chain ::'

It's not as fast as other places for money, TBH. It's just something I do for fun. I remember a year or two back me and Weyoun 1 were the main Kq'rs. It was good profit back then, nowadays it's not so great.

 

 

 

exactly, its a terrible way to make money. also, the chains are very, very rare

But really this semi-replaces the use for veracs at KQ.

 

 

 

Example. With Full Torags (Nooby I know) and a Godsword, all your have risk of losing is the torags helm, which is what? 200-300k?

 

Not to mention full torags has an extrodinary range defence, which is the primary attack doing damage. Not to mention, no mace/dds/defender req, which is 1-2 extra space(s) for shark/pot.

 

 

 

You die at kq with vearcs w/o prot pray and you lose v helm with 2M, mace/dds/defender ect..

 

 

 

Appears like this could be a new higher alternative to KQ & Melee Monster Killing with lower risk equipment.

 

 

 

The people who are "hardcore" Kq'rs don't die. I've yet to die, and I've slain 2-3 thousand queens. Even then, Verac is only useful if you're a lower level/don't use slayer mask/don't want to bring range stuff as well. Dragon chains are cheap, I really doubt they'll drop any further.

I've killed a couple hundred and I died once, but my partner got my stuff. I lagged a bit and got hit for two 31s in a row with her ranged... Then I tried to eat like a mad-man, and I stuffed my face with a shark and then kneeled, with 20 hp remaining. :wall:

Okay sorry but I saw WAY too many problems with what has been posted on this thread so far.

 

 

 

First. Kalphite Queen's "Protection from Melee" doesn't actually block all melee attacks. In actuality, it reduces damage and accuracy, much like the prayer when used in player versus player situations.

 

 

 

Second. All Black Mask does is at 15% strength and attack bonus. That does explain the decent hits, as with a Kalphite slayer mission, proper gear, and such a powerful weapon, you can do a decent amount of damage. Even after it's been cut, seeing 40+ hits isn't very surprising.

 

 

 

OT: God Wars bosses aren't really that hard to solo, with the exception of Zilyana. Most level 120+ can usually defeat K'ril 2-3 times per trip alone. Or at least, that's how I've done personally.

 

 

 

What's amazing is that the God Sword seems to be in the "Very Fast" attack speed category, similar to Scimitars, Daggers, the Abyssal Whip, and the Zamorakian Spear. I'm not 100% sure of this but it looks to be that fast.

 

 

 

It appears Jagex finally realized SPEED is what makes a weapon good, not just pure power. The extra power on this weapon more than compensates for the lack of a shield or defender.

 

 

 

Just out of curiousity: is it possible to consistently solo the Kalphite Queen with the God Sword? As in, succeed at least 4 out of 5 attempts? You COULD solo the Kalphite Queen in Veracs in only one trip, but it was very uncommon. I've only done so on one occasion out of about twenty attempts, so if this is what your trips to KQ look like on a regular basis, it means Jagex may have to rescale their combat system. The fact that this monster, originally meant for a group of high leveled player, can now be defeated alone by an extremely wealthy high level player consistently would be such an indication.

 

 

 

Finally, I find it interesting how Jagex is slowly introducing "Uber" equipment in multiple categories. For the 1-handed weapons, the Abyssal Whip is still effective, but Jagex just recently added the Dragonfire shield for extra defense, and more strength bonuses. Range got some massive boosts with the Dark Bow, Dragon Arrows, and Rune Crossbow. I've seen people hit over 45 with the Onyx Bolts, and over 80 with Dark Bow special attack using dragon arrows. Magic has been given an array of new support spells, both combat and non. Jagex has now released all of the non-air combination staves, which each have at least 1 spell they can reduce most of the cost of.

 

 

 

Is Jagex going to keep releasing godly equipment? We've got both 2H and 1H melee equipment, good melee and range armor, several decent range weapons. Will mage be given armor next?

 

 

 

I am worried about how Jagex is balancing player strength with monster strength. It seems to be Jagex will just make tougher and tougher monsters, leaving the older ones outdated. Then they release better drops on new monsters that outdate the old ones. How long until we have level 80s able to solo the KQ, and a level 999 that drops dragon plates? :\

But is that really a problem? The game needs progression and the only other way to do that is by adding boss monsters that require more than just hack and slash tactics.

 

 

 

Considering the rarity of these new uber items i don't think its going to really pose that much of a problem. The average level 80 player will still never be able to solo the KQ because of equipment cost and requirments. Sure wealthy players will have the upper hand buts its always been that way. Originally it was the R2H back in classic and now its dragon fire sheilds, god swords and what ever uber item they release next.

The KQ's "prayer" ONLY reduces accuracy, NOT damage.

Very nice vid too, you make it look easy.

P2P offers more and better ways of making money than f2p. That's one of the cons you just have to play with if you don't feel like having 1 bigmac meal less per month.

I drank a super set at the shantay pass, to everyone who is telling me that I haven't potted.

 

 

 

And someone asked if it's possible to solo it consistently, and yes, it is. I've been able to solo it consistently (9/10) for a long time, either using verac, or whip and range, or verac and range, or whip and black mask or w/e. However this is the most effect way I've found so far.

 

 

 

Oh yeah, and the godsword is the speed of a battle axe. It is very accurate as well, (trust me :P ) Go try kqing with a whip, hits a ton more 0's.

It reduces damage slightly. I've never hit over 30 on the KQ with a whip after hundreds of tries. The only time in this video he hit high, it still appears possible to have been able to fit under the 33% damage cut.

 

 

 

And prayer against players has never been fully, 100% effective until Sigmund or however you spell his name. It's generally reduced damage by about 33%, and since I've never seen anyone hit their full maximum hit on her without veracs, I don't hesitate in believing it's got a slight damage reduction.
