maybe runescape is getting more mature. i remember seeing complains about how kiddish some "scary" monsters are.

also, this game isnt for little kids, or at least its meant for people with some intelligence/maturity. i cant walk one step into f2p without being yelled at or begged to

The Bandos general boss is quite impressive as well, but then again I'm biased towards greenskins. :-k

I mean the graphics/the game ITSELF. The players on the other hand... :wall:

Today society makes kids that age not scared, with all the things parents let their kids watch. And yes it is repetitive because to suceed in the GWD or make enough money to buy the items, you have had to do something of that repetitive nature.

Theres my 2 cents. 8-)

The GWD is the darker side of runescape. Runescape is 13+, if the 7 year old and his mommy don't like it they can get off and go play maplestory.

+1, majour lulz0r from mushroom crap fantacy game. But yeah, if you find that go play Hello kitty island adventure.

If this game was for 13 and lower there would be less ugly goblins and more friendly birds and butterflies...Things you would usually see in a kiddy show.

I suppose you have a point. Runescape is starting to shift away from a game for new players to a game for combat-obsessed "high levels" (the real high levels i've seen admit that we're doing good in the combat department, but still seriously lacking in skills and quests).

Yes, my little cousins play it and they are like 9 and 10. Also I died a little inside when they asked for some money to help pay for it :uhh:

what kind of 7 year old can navigate himself to the GWD. But any 12- people shouldnt be playing so its their own fault

sfhgjfyjruytkubb2.jpg
if you said "runescape" at my school, seeing that 90% of the population there are rednecks, they'd be like "whats that", me: "a computer game online", "eh!? oh one of those thinga-ma-gigers mrs clark got on her desk? a compooter?

The 7 year old and his mommy can get the [bleep] over it.

I agree with you. And you're completly right in that GWD will change the way we look at RS forever! Much more powerfull, more mature and much cooler 8-)

Yep. Plus they are doing a 'dangerous area' graphic update soon which, if it goes in the same direction as the GWD, may make RS much better.

lol to that

And I started when I was 11ish (before the you must be this old to play) but I still don't have any blackmarks and I don't break the rules because I simply follow my rules of politeness to a certain extent and well not breaking the rules lol.

Anyway, yes, too many players under the age requirement, my friend plays rs and his brother say so then he just hit history on the computer, went to Runescape and made his own account and he is in like 5th grade and he told all his friends and they play... lol I should "show" them a magical place which gives you rare items if you bring your best stuff (GWD anyone? and its techinally true lol).

Lol...

It IS repetitive, everything is pure grinding.

And well, which 7 yrs old would be affraid by that? Um lol... My 7 yr old cousin is already talking about sex with his friends, so doubt he'd be affraid of a pixel monster

If Rs wasn't for kids, then subtile humour would replace obvious humour in quest dialogues, the quest stories would stop being so cliche and easy to predict, there would be no problem with mild swear words in npc dialogues or chat filtrer, the word noob wouldn't be used so much because of more mature player population, and the game would require more brains, and puzzles, instead of mindless clicking. But unintentionally, Rs became a kiddie game, so jagex has to cope with it, and so do we, bleh.
