Background Story and Introduction

 

 

 

Welcome one and all. My ultimate goal is this: I am getting 60 Defence at Level 18 Combat by using Genie Lamps, for no reason other than to be the first to do it, and to make other def pures look impure and rubbish ;P To get genie lamps I am training up my non-combat skills. As far as I know I was the first person to have this idea, starting my account back in May, although I have since seen a few other copycats about =( I already have achieved 99 hunter, now starting the long road to getting other 99's. I was inspired by a character called Omegawytch who was the first ever defence pure, in the days of RS Classic. Please note this thread is adapated from my Runescape Community journal.

The Real Me

 

 

 

I am a 20 year old student from England, studying Computer Science. My hobbies include drinking, playing video games, watching football (soccer), listening to rock music, going places with friends, and general studenty stuff. I have played Runescape since January 2002 (approx) and Sid Viicious has now become my main character. Other games that I play are WoW, Battlefield 1942 and Desert Combat Final mod, Halo, and many others. I used to moderate Tip It Forums, and I currently DJ for Zybez Radio. I like to stay active in the community, although I don't participate heavily in Runescape social events. I like to think I'm approachable.

Chicken - As far as I know I invited this little Runescape adaption of the classic dare game. Basically one person counts down from 3. Then, at the same time, all the players start casting Home Teleport. If somebody casts earlier/later than everyone else it's a false start, and the game must be started over. The idea of the game is to stay sitting, and casting the spell for as long as possible without actually home teleporting! If there is one player who is sitting down for the longest, they get 1 point for winning. If somebody actually doesn't stop casting in time and gets teled to Lumby, they are out. The winner is either the last person left in the game, or the first person to rack up 5 victories. ENJOY!

FAQ

 

 

 

Can I add you in game? Absolutely. But please post here first because I have my private set to friends 99% of the time, so I'll need to add you first. Also, people who ask lots of questions that I answer over and over again (like the ones in this FAQ!) will be quickly removed.

 

 

 

Why don't you use Pest Control? You need 40 Combat to play Pest Control.

 

 

 

Why don't you do quests that give defence exp? I've looked into this. Such quests either require killing some high level monster, or they reward other combat exp. Obviously the latter type of quests are out of the question, and preparing to kill high levelled monsters with nothing but recoil rings is so much effort it's not even worth it.

 

 

 

Can I have free stuff??? No. Not now. Not ever. I don't even give things away to my closest buddies. There have been exceptions, but I make my own opinions about people and if I am in no doubt that a person is genuinely my friend, and a nice guy, I have been known to give him stuff (mostly everything in my bank when I quit for a while). However, for 99% of people, no matter if it's their birthday, they just got a 99, or whatever, I don't give out presents. So don't ask. As I always say: You think I'm rich? I certainly didn't get that way by giving out free stuff!

 

 

 

What makes you so special? Why should I support you? Nothing special I suppose. You can be sure that I'm completely fair, honest and down to earth. I'm a good judge of people, and my gut instinct is usually right. I'll do my best to talk to everyone that asks to add me, after all your supporters make you who you are. I won't lie to people. The creation of this character was totally my own idea and not ripped off anybody, although I did take inspiration from various individuals. Generally I can get along with almost anybody, I'm very easy-going and liberally minded, but fairly opinionated, not afraid to fight my corner and say what I really think.

I've been thinking about it. Already got 1k def exp from Shield of Arrav reward in the Varrock Museum.

Good luck with your goal.. I'm not sure how close you'll get anytime soon though, since some level 3 skillers who have like 12 99's only have like 55 slayer from genies.. So good luck, hope you don't give up..

dang wat a crazy goal you have here! god luck with getting all those lamps. with the teacher update are u using those books to? or u still using just lamps? oh and i get a few lamps and teacher books when im fishing so maybe fish sometime? have fun! check my blog sometime?
