Ok, so I was recently fooling around in the fight caves trying to do the achievement diary, and I'm far from a combat character, a mere level 93 with 76 76 73 for melee stats and 56 Prayer. Equiped with a ddp++, whip, obby shield, obby cape, full rune, Zerker helm, rune boots a glory and 18 monk fish I easily made it to the level with a 180 + 2 90's.

 

 

 

I was lead to wonder if the fight caves are really that hard. I mean I have never fought jad, which is supposed to be the hardest part, but I did a sizable portion with minimal equipment.

 

 

 

So my question to you is the fight caves really that hard?

once you get higher up there it gets very difficult.. youre only on like wave 12 i believe.. :-s

You're at wave 29/63. As you progress the waves get harder. Try going to Jad with that equipment and tell me how easy it is when you're done.

But yes it is easy if you know what your doing, only hard part for me is healers.

That isn't far at all, it may be almost halfway in numbers but definitely not in difficulty. You're probably halfway done at about wave 50-55. Farthest I've ever made it is wave 48 :(

I've made it to the 360s with 1 prayer pot and a crystal bow (achievement diary ftw). The real challenge comes when you start getting 360s (mage), 180s (melee), and 90s(range) all coming for you at once, and you have to make good use of the safespots and lure the monsters well. However, some people have this whole system down (like Muggi :D ) and would have no problem doing on it with an account of your stats.

Its actually not hard at all. Just most people (me inclouded) are nervous when they get to jad and mess up on the prayer switches. Getting to jad on a scale of 1 - 10 (1 being easest, 10 being hardest) would rate maybe a 6. Jad would be a 10.

 

 

 

Once you have read muggi's guide, its not hard at all to get to jad.

It doesnt even get remotely close to challenging until you get to at least around wave 40 or so, The point about where the level 180s start coming out with the 360s

I'd say it'd get hard once your in the wave 40+ area

with this equipment you wont last much longer there..

 

however, getting to Jad the ranging way isn't that hard (providing you have a descent range level)

 

From there its all about the prayers switch drill.

You were about half an hour/45 minutes into the cave, it takes about 2 1/2 hours to get to jad. To be honest, the waves are quite easy if you're properly equipped. In my 4 attempts i've neevr been close to dying on the waves. Jad is the real problem, he's 50x harder than any of the waves.

Fight caves? no.

 

Jad? no. (cmon switch prayer aint that hard)

 

healer and Jad? yes. (Switch pray while attacking at healer and jad feet is hard :P )

 

 

 

 

 

My first try i did it to jad, I got hit by 85 at first hit(never saw it coming lol(Lucking i leveled from 85 hp to 86 in cave \ ))then with 1 hp no sara brew :( i attacked first healer then got koed by healer while i was switching prayer :(

 

 

 

oh well, its hard on overall but at the beggining(sp?) it's easy :)

No but going in there with monks and meleeing the whole thing? yes.. its terrible gl meleeing the 360s with a dds and a whip if you manage to get a cape that way, congrats.

the first few waves are boring, coz all u do is click 1, kill one, click another... etc

 

 

 

but later on, you are occupide (sp?) with prayer, hp, killing in right order to avoid damage etc

Getting to wave 29 with those items is like hitting a 38 at the beginning of a duel then deciding you have won.

It's not that hard if you study the pattern before trying . Jad just might need some practising (I needed). I remember when I was getting my fire cape and I was something like lvl 109 and I got it on my 6th attempt. I managed to get to Jad on every try but then messed with him/healers.

Yeah okay, wave 29, not that hard to get to.

 

 

 

Heck only difficult waves for me are with both the 360 and 90s, and Jad.

 

 

 

I messed up on Jad despite the fact I got lucky a few times.

Getting to jad is a walk in the park for me, but it's annoying to spend 500k and 2 hours just to die on jad

It's is hard. With 90s pwning you while having mage pray on? with 180's tanking you with 20+? Yea it is hard. Lucky i got one ^-^ my friend made a very awesome guide! It was very helpfull. Each wave=mini guide. He talked alot about it. and well i'm happy i got it but not happy i used 5M :P 2M left. I also bought tons of rune sets. ATM i'm ftp but members is back on friday :)

It's like an exponential (if that's how you spell it) curve upwards - it gets very very hard at the end, compared to very very easy at the beginning.
