I've pondered this question many times. Lots of people think that rich people, people with high lvls (e.g 99 mining) and people who have pk'ed a lot (and got a load of loot), are possible 'owners' of runescape. Personally I disagree. I always though that it is not possible to be good at a mmo, but you can be respected for having patience and time. Most of the time, pk'ing and dueling in runescape is about luck, and so is getting a rare drop or getting a good max hit, and so is getting a 99 in a skill. All this requires is patience and a lot of time on your hands. What do you think?

Own is just a word to say that they're good at RS.

To many random numbers. Its not Halo or Gears of War where you can dominate game after game after game. Its just impossible.

All that is is luck and time.

There is some sort of strategy of course...

 

 

 

I dont agree that everybody with 10 hour on their hand can end up with 400k xp in mining.

You can own people and you can own an item but you cant own at the game.

You can own at many aspects of the game, like Zezima, but you can't own at ALL aspects of the game. RS is just too large with too many different activities for someone to be indomitable in ALL areas of the game.

It is possible to get up to a certain level of 'ownage', but not nearly as high as in F/TPS games. There are certain people in RuneScape that are just brillaint at staking, pking, skilling, merchanting, ect., but there is only a certain level of skill involved, the rest is pure luck (and stats, which is nothing more than tons of time invested in grinding).

Doubt it in that sense. As even Zezima and Uloveme could go face some lvl 126 with like only the 4 cmb 99s and lose. Its luck.

It would be quite cool to think that there were a load of high levels, who owned all the rares, who were controlling the game somehow. But realisticly, Jagex are the only owners of the game.

I think you can own certain aspects of the game such as CW but in most cases you cannot.

Of course it's possible to "own" at runescape. It's possible to have enough experience in doing all kinds of things, pking, staking, skilling, monster hunting that you can do anything with overwhelmingly more efficiency than another person competing with you.
