How much are you worth?

Featured Replies

Basically the world revovles around money, so the concept of this experiment (volentarily only) is to determine "how much your worth" in terms of cash. Here's how it works

I am worth 84$ every 24 hours.

I am worth 3.5$ a hour.

I am worth 0.06 cents a minute

I am worth 1 penny every 12 seconds.

For those who do not know how to do it, here is the forumula.

Take your total pay in a 24 hour period of that day, and divide it by 24, that should give you your hour worth. Then divide it by 60 to get your minute worths. I'm sure you can figure out how to get the seconds.

Amazing.. My worth living is only 1 penny for 12 seconds of time. Some people out there get 50 cents PER SECOND they live. Amazing differences.

Well share your worth! <3:

Anyway didn't you mum tell you its rude to talk about how much money you make, unless your American it seems. And me talking about how much I make would only make you feel poor :P

Frankly, I don't think that many Tip.It'ers have an income besides allowances or after-school jobs...

As for myself, I'd rather not calculate my wages-per-second... as much as I need an income to pay the bills, I try not to think too much about the exact numbers. Simply working for money wouldn't be fulfilling for me.

A friend to all is a friend to none.

What your salary is doesn't determine your worth. It determines how much you make an hour/day/second.

My tipout is different every night, so I can't really calculate this.

Eh, it's a worthless thread on a worthless, simple calculation anyways, so I'm glad I can't :-w .

Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.

My awesomeness far transcends the trappings of that mere concept you English-speaking mortals call "worth".

There is more to life than money...

In most societies money is food, shelter and entertainment. I do not believe there is much to life without these things.

Sure you could eat road kill and weeds, live under a bridge and throw stones for entertainment but money improves one standard of living significantly so there is not much more to life than money.

Forgive me for being pedantic, but you're only working for about eight hours a day in most cases. So why do you divide by 24? Because you're not actually earning anything in the other 16 hours, in fact, you're doing exactly the opposite just living in a house with food, gas, water and electricity.

This is a pretty stupid topic.

I'm not making any money right now but I still have plenty of money that I saved up before college.

Thread fails.

Apparently, nothing. I guess full time education does that to a guy.

Education = Knowledge = Money

Few study just to study.

Most know at the end of college is a high paying career.

Teachers teach that knowledge waits

Can lead to hundred-dollar plates

Goodness hides behind its gates

I don't study for a high paying job. However university is draining my money, so im going to get a job soon.

With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

At college? Do you have any the array of courses available? The sheer magnitude of knowledge available, from which you can choose almost anything that interests you?

Gotta say, especially in college (though it does pertain to high school as well, especially senior year if there's a wider gauge of electives), if you aren't at least partially studying to study, then you're in or going into the wrong field.

Oh, and ya, prepare to be berated endlessly for that post. Not everyone's as shallow as you percieve them to be -_-".

I guess i'm one of the few who isn't motivated by a high paying career, only the pursuit of knowledge then.

A career is necessary, yes, but it's not what drives me personally.

I'm going to college just to get a better job. I'd like to study some stuff just to do it, but I don't have the money for that.

If you're planning to go to law/medical/business school, your major doesn't matter. Study whatever interests you.
