How often do you actually REPORT bots?

Featured Replies

There's got to be a million Rants and Discussions about Bots, but how often do you actually REPORT THEM not just stand there and "go argghhh stupid bots"?

38% of Tip.Iters put stupid made up statistics in their sigs. If you are one of the 62% that don't, put this in your sig.

Occasionally. When I'm training a skill near by I report them. But if I'm just walking by I won't.

"The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."

Generally I'll report them via the Customer Service message system on the official website.

For example if I observe a (randomname)001 doing the same thing over and over, not talking, etc etc and that (randomname)001 has just one really high ranked skill and theres a series of them 002, 003 etc with the same skill I'll call them in as well.

Whilst there is no compulsion to talk, wear different clothing, interact with randoms, it could be considered proof positive that a array of similar names with just one skill ranked very highly in high scores is the most an inquiring eye has to go on.

Seems to work as well.

"Boy, sure would be nice to have some grenades, don't you think you think?"

Never. They dont effect me enough to care.

If I'm doing a skill nearby I report one every few minutes; there's not much else for me to do so I think it is quite productive. If I'm just walking by i'll report one or two

I right down a list and send it to Jagex.

As I mentioned above, you may sometimes encounter a lot of players behaving suspiciously in the same area.

If you have the time, it's best to submit an individual Abuse Report for each one as this provides us with stronger evidence.

However, if you just want to get on with your own gameplay, you can still help our investigation team by sending in a list containing the account names you suspect of breaking Rule 7.

To do this, please follow these steps:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) Click the "Comment on our service" link from the main RuneScape homepage.

2) Scroll down to "Other Comments: If the above does not cover the type of feedback that you wish to provide, click here" and click the link.

3) Log in with your RuneScape username and password.

4) Type in the list of names you have gathered.

To help us pick out the messages containing these names, please include the following phrase at the beginning of your message:

Suspected Rule 7 Breakers

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please don't post any lists of names on the Forums.

Thanks for your help.

I did that once where I wrote down the list and sent it in, but when they replied it made me feel like it's not really appreciated or they don't really use it. It said something about how it's better if you report with the in-game thing so they get the snapshot...so I felt bad and didn't do it again xD

I report them on an occasion, especially if I see them in mass but they have to have:

-Lvl3 doing an auto-task

-Default Clothes

-Do not speak

-Do not comply with randoms

-Have nam1, name2, etc

I cant be bothered.. really, i have tom uch momentum when im training to stop and report

My email is [email protected] ---

I honestly can say I report them every single time I see a load of level 3's with default clothing. I mean, I wouldn't report 40 macroers, but if there were 3 around I would type their name in the text box, and report them one by one as I go along with my business.

:D

I usually ask questions or something directed to the individual, if i see defualt clothes and lvl3 etc. If i don't get any reply for over 5 min or so i report them. I still have yet to see anything come of it though.

I require hugs. Seriously, just give them to me, and youll see your little turtle again.

I report them whenever I'm going by a macroing zone or training skills nearby.

j0xPu5R.png

Probably every 1/10 when I'm just walking around.

When I'm Wcing I report every one.

Vector1.png

If I'm going past a heavy-autoer area I'll report one or two at least.

Never. Because I don't have a system that automatically detects macros, like JaGex claims to have. :-k

Lmao

Uhh when they have wear the default clothes.

never.

If I'm in a heavy bot area I'll report a bunch, until I get tired of reporting them.

Psycho1701-P1.gifPsycho1701-P2.gif

whenever i see one so long as the 60sec thing isnt stopping me.

Whenever I see one, unless theres million, then I spend about 30mins reporting them :P

Doomy edit: I like sheep

I spend the vast majority of my time slaying, so I very rarely see any bots.

Even when I do, I'm very careful about reporting them. If you just randomly report people, then you are abusing the rules yourself. You need good reason and proof to report. So I only do it when I'm certain of the fact. (and a lvl 3 who refuses to talk isn't always a bot you know).

Harrington.gif

If i ever just happen to run by them i catch a name or so. If i am skilling and they are autoing right by me i report them all.

I usually report them whenever I see them. I don't go out of my way to do it, though.

There's no sig here. Move it along...
