Numer0_un0 Posted October 17, 2007 Share Posted October 17, 2007 I was just wondering... what do you guys think of the bone crossbow replacing the magic shortbow as a training weapon? It fires faster than a normal crossbow, deals more damage than mith arrows (as far as I am aware), and ONLY COSTS 4 GP for every bolt you fire. What do you guys think? I have seen it used by level 120+ in Castle Wars, and I myself can hit 15s with it @ 77 ranged. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

TBH only people who used to use bone weps were newbs (not noobs) that hadn't yet figured out that stats>coolness. i used the bone dagger the week it came out, that week their was a glitch where, instead of lowering by what u hit, you halved their def levels. i fought a 126 i was like 110 and it turned his 99 def to 49 or something, only hitting like a 12. it was fun, i wish it was like that but oh well. i did pick up 32k of these bolts for now, if i wasnt so stingy id buy 1mil of these lol. bone crossbow shoots fast and i hit 24s with it @ with prayer on. so its a pretty reasonable alternative. but if i was going to go back to sitting down @ a monster for hours with things like that, knives all the way. good knives to, iron or higher. guzoliub Posted October 17, 2007 Share Posted October 17, 2007 bows got a serious blow Cb's are cheper, better, give more options (with all the enchanted variants), onehanded ... before noone was using a cb, Jagex shifted the power so much that now noone will use a bow. (I am not talking only about the bone cb, but about the big tunning that metal cb's got). Even crystal bow is almost useless now (and it costed a lot of people a lot of money to get it to reasonable recharge). Rangers usually use fast hitting projectiles like knives/darts against monsters like rock crabs, demons or giants. I find that the max hit I'm hitting with rune arrows is the same as bone bolts from the xbow. Sorry, noob question here... can you fire bone bolts from a rune crossbow? Or must it be the bone x-bow?
