To follow up on Aussie's screenie (not 999's). 198 Dagannoth task done in 11 minutes at a rate of 18 Dagannoth per minute. Rock barrage effectively mops up the ones that survive with minimal health remaining.

It's decent for collecting Crimsons as well, less hassle than WFS now (no agro) but probably fewer crimsons/h. Depends on where you want your xp to go as well.

Considering it's far, far less than a 1/13 chance of landing on that spot I think it stands to reason that item placement means absolutely nothing at all. Just because two items are on the same spot (huge lamp and 200m) doesn't mean that they both have the same chance of being received.

I am inclined to think that it could well be the same chance of landing on the centre slot, but the population of the centre slot is free to vary by chance. Say if it were 1/10,000 for centre slot, and then 1/30 chance of the centre slot being 200M, we end up with a 1/300,000 chance of the 200M. Then extending it could be 1/2,500 chance of landing on of the red slots, and 1/200 chance of that red slot being 200M, leading to a 1/500,000 chance of the 200M. (Numbers chosen for simplicity, not to reflect real world values.)

 

Tl;dr - I think it is fair to be disappointed getting junk off the super-rare slot. The die with the hardest odds rolled in your favour, whereas the die with much friendlier odds did not.
