June 26, 201313 yr Hmmm, if you are DIY, may you sell stuff (only sell) through players or GE? Because I never buy something, get everything myself for the past 9 years and now have a level 2476 account. :)I gather everything myself for as far as I can remember, not as a goal, but it gives me the ability to train multiple skills, and I quite enjoy it. I do everything at my own pace, like dungeoneering, which I am soloing (I am at 107 DG atm). Don't know it that qualifies as DIY. :s
June 26, 201313 yr DIY is usually up to the person. No GE/Trade with other players(except for quests) is usually what it means, with things like dungeoneering, assist system, D&Ds, etc. being more up to the individual Thanks to Iglw for the amazing signature!

June 26, 201313 yr I think once you reach your buy limit, you can't make a purchase until you make some sells to restore your limit. So if he bought 100 bronze daggers and got limited, he'd need to sell 1 bronze dagger to be able to buy 1 immediately. In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.
