dark_blob
I've never used a cheat sheet for a test, but for some vocab quizzes if i have absolutely no clue about the word, i write it down on the desk lightly before it and erase it afterwards. TheEvilGizm0
I used to cheat all the time in German classes... 'Cause I can't speak a word German and our teacher didn't realise half her class was cheating anyway. They finally got it right.
dymed
I've cheated more times than I can count throughout high school and college. Of course, it's a bad habit and shouldn't be done and has risks and blah blah blah, but at the end of the day, every single class/grade in high school was a stepping stone to get into a good college, and almost all classes in college were stepping stones to get into medical school. They were classes I had to take and ultimately had no impact on my long-term life. Medical school however is very different. Not only is it more or less impossible to cheat in medical school, these classes now really do matter. I am going to become a doctor, and if I don't learn what I need to in med school, I am going to be screwed during my residency, and that's if I can even make it that far and pass my licensing exams to get my MD. Besides, so many times I've made a cheat sheet and stuffed it into my pocket, only to not once use it during the test. What often happens is that I learn the material very well while making the cheat sheet, and study it over and over, that I end up not even needing it. :P I don't condone cheating whatsoever and would never encourage anyone to. But if you do it, meh, whatever; I don't think differently of the person or anything.
99pulse99
I had a French listening mock GCSE yesterday, Since most of the test was multiple choice me and my friend used a kinda code(scratch your neck if its A cough if it's B etc) incase the other didn't know the answers. Surprisingly it worked well. And for almost every vocab test iv had a tiny copy of the answers printed off from word on the smallest possible font readable. Il cheat in subjects i don't plan on taking up at sixth form but not one's i actually care about. We can breath in space, they just don't want us to escape
MiyuLynx
NO!... unless accidentally. sometimes i'm randomly looking around the room and i accidentally see someones answer. then it's stuck in my head and i can't not write it down. speaking of tests... it's exam week here! :wall: Peppy: "Do a barrel roll!"Fox: "That's your solution for everything..."Peppy: "Just press Z or R twice!"Fox: "No, Peppy..." look_its_rob
Yea i cheat often, and i can't say i feel the least bit bad about it. Some of the stuff we learn in school is so pointless... I still study hard and such and actually i think cheating can help me learn? Cause all the answers i cheat on, i remember after that. I just dont get the point of getting an 80 on a test when i can easily get an A. Dont get me wrong, i dont always cheat, i think im a rather smart kid. Without cheating i can still pull off A's, but i care about my future and i want to get in a good college. I need the best grades possible and not cheating would just be cheating my future. Look its rob!
Star_Fox
tbh, cheating on a test is a lot harder then studying...especially on vocabulary.
wakka102
considering how much I think the current school system is really stupid and that we should learn more useful things, I've done it some and I don't regret it.
baron8000
Never had a need to luckily, once you learn how to write exam answers you can pass easily (and indeed well) whilst knowing very little actual content.
warri0r45
I was seriously considering it with this last final I had (intro to graphics) because I needed a 93% on it to pass the class. However, I decided against it and instead just studied like a mother -- managing to pass the class. :P Damn, grats, that's some committed study. Anyway the only time I can remember cheating was in highschool maths. It was lured into temptation because -- (a) I suck(ed) at maths and; (B) our calculators have a programmable thingy where you can save equations etc. Other than that, not really a cheater. I prefer to actually know what it is I'm being studied on because you soon learn it all flows into what you're doing next semester/year etc. Very important thing to realise for those of you still in school and looking to go to uni, trust me, study now and it'll be worth your while. It always helps if your lecturers are too lazy to make up new questions for a test and just use some they put on revision sheets. :-w

Rcty
Cheating contains no educational value whatsoever and is typically for lazy people who think they can lean on their "best friend" when they're at home playing Xbox instead of studying (it'll take a whole ten minutes) for the test. I do not let people cheat off of me on tests because it's absolutely pointless. You can get in trouble for letting people cheat off of you, and if you do but don't get caught, considering your answers are worth copying, you will probably feel disappointed in yourself. ~Rcty Rcty
nine naked men
Never cheated before. And even when someone asks me the answer to one, I just kinda nudge them in the right direction, lol. sleep like dead men wake up like dead men
Mr_Putter
I've cheated. Never hugely or on something too important. Practically my whole class cheated in math. I can remember the weekly ritual of copying all the important formulas hidden on my calculator such that they could only be seen at a certain angle. By doing this I usually knew the answer afterwards, and just used it as a reminder. Now that I'm in university I'm not ever going to risk cheating. I mean, we occassionally have online quizzes which almost encourage cheating, but all the big tests I wouldn't even try. Plus I'm getting an arts degree, so unless I was able to hide a huge notebook it wouldn't do much good anyways. Also, I read a pretty neat article a while back that said something like 1/3 people getting an MBA had cheated on a major test. So it's not just punk kids. Screechingmu
Nothing other then talking to a friend when the teacher is out of the room or taking a glance at my notes. It's more of a reinforcement and getting A's and B's anyway even without cheating on every test. My Guide to Killing Green Dragon Autoers

Powman3
I won't say I haven't done it, but I strongly disagree with it. I don't like cheating, whether it be in school, playing a sport, but video games are okay... not MMORPG's, but for the TV.

db300
I cheat all the time in school, not in sports or games though. People cheat all the time in my school. The teachers make the tests so hard that if you simply study, the best you could do is in the B range. For tests, I usually just have a cheat sheet that I have in my lap or under the test. :anxious: I honestly have no problem with cheating in grades K-12, but you shouldn't in college. mrpez
For a math test in 9th grade I wrote some equations I didn't understand on the inside of my calculator cover. When I needed to look at it, I just slipped the cover off the calculator casually and read them right off. A few days later the teacher said she had received word that several students were cheating (apparently, many kids cheated on that test). She said she would wait a few days for people to confess and perhaps receive less punishment. My friend and I went up to her and told her what we had done, but not exactly. I told her I had written down only two equations, and as neither had appeared on the test, I got off scoff-free. My friend and I laughed loudly walking away from her room, not too smart. I haven't gotten caught for cheating, although I do it seldom. I'm smart enough to know how to cheat without getting caught, but I'd rather earn my grades myself. knives669
I've cheated a lot. :P I did term papers for other people last year and earned a good bit of money from it. There were a couple of people in one of my science classes that passed because of me, and there are a few people in my Psychology class right now that are passing because of me. :P I've really no problem with it, as it helps me to learn more, and the people who cheat off me end up owing me. As for me cheating off of others, I try to avoid it. Mainly because I don't trust anyone's answers but my own. There is an exception in math though. Mainly because I'm so dumb in math and I would trust someone else's answers before I trusted my own.
dorcus1
I've cheated a few times... all of them on homework that was just time-consuming. Or, you know, use another person's template for my lab data. But, in that case, I already know the material. Cheating on a test, on the other hand... You don't actually learn. If you cheat on a test, I won't report you, because I know that the stuff you didn't learn would come back to haunt you. You won't get away with it in the long run (unless it's the final year in a course you'll never use again) "The best defence is to stay out of range" - French proverbBad luck happens. randy1009
Heh, I always had to cheat during my math tests, and my method always worked for me to. I'd sit opposite one of my friends and get the rest to sit elsewhere, once he'd finished his test one of the others would do something to make the teacher look and we'd switch sheets. It's not something I'm proud of or anything, not in the least, but I could never manage math at all, so I went around it in order to get my year pass.
