Mr_Putter
Many of us are or will soon be on our Winter holidays, so we finally have time to catch up on some of the gaming we may have missed in the past few months/years. So post here what you are playing, are about to play, and most importantly, what you think of it. Myself, I have about 20 games from the past 10 years that I either own or need to buy and play. I'm hoping to cut this list almost in half in the next month. I started on Thursday with Beyond Good and Evil, and I'll keep it short (just like the game, which is only ~10 hours). It was a good game with good ideas, marred by some bad design decisions and serious bugs on the PC. I'd recommend playing it for a console over the PC any day, one of the few times I'd say this. It is worth a play because it can be found cheap, and I'd give it about an 82%. At the same time, I've been playing the original Unreal. It hasn't really held up over time like, say, Half-Life. It's fun action, fair graphics, the AI is very impressive and it's neat to see the roots of Unreal Tournament (including a primative bot-mode). However, it's basically just you moving from room to room, fighting some guys, figuring out a puzzle here and there, and moving on. I'd recommend it only to hardcore fans of Unreal Tournament who haven't had a chance to play it. I'll give a % score when I'm done. With BGE done, today I will start Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. Hope it's fun :).
Retefael
The past few days have been devoted to Donkey Kong 64. What a great game. I hope to continue on Banjo-Kazooie over the break, as well as Mass Effect for the 360. A little Super Smash Bros. Melee wouldn't hurt either. I don't run races to see who's the fastest, I run to see who has the most guts. -PreCurrently the best beat out there:Minuit jacuzzi (DatA Remix) - TEPR
Pirate_Steve
Total War: Rome. First time I've completely owned everyone in the game. Have near one million gold, 6-7 full armies (5 archer auxila, 3 onagers, a general, maybe some praetorian cavalary, and the rest urban\praetorian cohort). I just burned Egypt completely. Azvareth
With BGE done, today I will start Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. Hope it's fun :). It really is a fun game, but the story and graphics are pretty crap. The combat more than makes up for it though. I always say that if Oblivion had Dark Messiah's combat, it would be much, much more enjoyable. Kicking orcs from cliffs, sending them screaming down is quite beautiful. I've just started playing Team Fortress 2 again after a few months away from it. I'm pretty much always playing on this 24/7 2fort server, and I've managed to build up quite a reputation of being a kickass medic. :) The "regulars" there usually greets me when I join the server and such. And just today I got lots of people screaming, "GREAT JOB, HAGEL!!!" over the mic, and one guy who's in a very good guild, [dbd], (well, the people in the guild who are regulars on this servers are excellent players) exclaimed, and I quote, "Whoa, Hagel is badass with the syringe gun" after managing to single-handedly kill off several BLUs with it. I had like 25 kills or so when the game was over. :D But I digress. I love playing as a medic since you're almost always in the middle of the fight, and you really need to keep track of peoples' health (they shouldn't have to spam "MEDIC MEDIC MEDIC OHGOD MEDIC!!") so it's a kind of "stressfulness" that I like, since you're also helping the team advance forwards and progress. A team without a medic usually don't get very far. :) And if you do a good job, people are usually appreciative and give you a friendly pat on the back. If anyone wants a game, you can add 'Hagelreth' on Steam.

Nothing wrong with the graphics so far. Nothing special, but I don't notice them being bad. So far it's a lot of fun. I guess I really had no idea what sort of game it was going in (thought it was hack-and-slash FPS), but I put it on hard and it's almost more of a stealth-strategy FPS, which is really unique. It's basically impossible to face more than 1 guy head on, so you have to sneak around and devise a strategy (though admitedly so far, it's been just chuck barrel, dagger execute, hide, repeat. It's jam packed with wow moments, and I'm having a blast so far...It's taking me out of my gaming slump :). I hope it keeps this much fun up :). Lionheart_0
I've had FF12 since it has come out but I never bothered to get far in it (As I usually do the first time around with most FF games). I played a bit of 12 on the weekend, and I think during the first week of the winter break I'm gonna try and beat it finally. And if I do, I'll go and finish off Metroid prime 3 as well. randy1009
I've got a couple of old games I want to get through before Febuary, mostly Banjo-Tooie and Zelda: Majoras Mask. I never got around to finishing them before, as much as I like both series, so it's something I want to get done. Apart from that though...there are a couple of new games I'm looking into getting, but we'll see what happens.
AThousandLies
Haven't really got the time for or interest in Runescape to keep playing, so that's off the list. I'm playing a few text-based RPGs at the moment, which I have been doing for some time - Popomundo, a music-based one; JenniferGovernment, a political game; and ManagerZone, a soccer managing game. On computer I'm playing Enemy Territory: Quake Wars a lot, and occasionally Warcraft 3. On PS2 I'm playing GTA San Andreas and DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 2 from time to time, and just got the new WWE game which I hope to get into soon.
