SimpleScape! :O

Why flame the thread? What he said was perfectly right. The game could be an ugly, brown ... thing, yet it isn't. You still have the game there, it just changed slightly.

Thanks, another non-spam post.

Disagreeing isn't spamming

I understand what you're saying, but why would Jagex change the game for the worse? Their only goal is to make the game better, obviously.

(Go ahead, flame me. "Jagex does it for the money, not for the game")

No.

I'm saying stop ranting about the updates because Jagex could have made the game much worse than this.

That also fails, as RuneScape ISN'T worse than before. It's actually BETTER!

And if you're saying RuneScape could be much worse, you're saying that RuneScape is bad = rant.

Its a matter of opinions, personally I find Runescape to be much more boring, where as some people find it better because noone can snatch away their raw products anymore.

Everything fails okay? Stop saying something fails, because most of the people here know exactly what fails and what doesn't.

Oh and yes, Runescape could be much worse, but it could be much better too.

People, as he said, it's supposed to be 'funny thread'. All of you flaming and throwing in some pathetic posts to get your post count up isn't going anywhere. If you have nothing constructive to say, then don't say anything.

He spelled the morale out for you. Basicly its the be thankful for what you have, it could be alot worse. Its like I said after the update I said: Maybe they did ruin the game, but at least in 2 years there will still be a game left to ruin.

A wee bit extreme, but not a bad idea. Theres a dilbert comic for this situation:

Boss: And you point would be?

Dilbert: Just beyond your grasp.

Lol, at first I thought you were just being a noob, but I understood the point at the end (one of the reasons people need to read the whole post).

Nice reasoning :D Yes, Jagex did a great job on the game and have very few faults. They cannot please everyone and people need to accept that, yet there will always be the few immature people who cannot accept this fact and will complain when updates negatively affect them or they are upset because of some rather silly reason.

I would like to thank Jagex for a game well made and a job well done. They have pleased the majority of players and that is what counts.

Quit complaining, whining, crying, bashing Jagex and their updates if you don't like it get out cause 150,000 other players still playing don't care.

It wasn't supposed to have a moral... Eh, why not.

So you admit it is spam! *sirens & flashing lights* Spamcops!

Bubby, if this is a shot at the recent updates you are a complerete idiot.

You're saying that these updates are making the game "Simpler"?

The G.E. actually made the game a tiny bit simpler, and more complex.

Bounty hunter is the most complex bit in this.

Your thread = Fail. :)

Are we gettin the rejects of 4chan or is the lingo just starting to spread?

Wow that is a bit extreme, but yes, people need to stop complaining about all the Updates. They try their hardest to keep their game clean as well as making it fun for everyone to Play.

But if Runescape ever went all green squarish i don't know If i could play it. Maybe for awhile just to see how it is, but if most of the content is just wiped, Its like making Runescape into a new game.

So if somebody hits me in the face, I shouldn't be annoyed, I should just be glad they didn't hit me in the face with a hammer.

That's what you seem to be saying.

Ironically, the scenario posted has almost become a reality...... Jagex, with their war against RWT.... has essentially stripped the game of its basic necessity- a free market. Now, in America, trade occurs primarily due to 2 reason: the buyer is buying at a good price, and the seller gets a compensation for their item. The same principle used to work in Runescape. However, due to RWT, the compensation turned into cash. One method Jagex could have circumvented this would have been to embrace RWT from the start and sold coins for a rate, that could constantly change, eliminating the entire industry of RWT. Or, they could have set a limit on trade, in a method similar to anti-trust laws and tariffs. Jagex could have implemented various "companies" in Runescape, each of which would sell a particular industry, such as ores or logs. People would sell their items in that company, posting a desired price, as well as a range. Using various algorithms, the overall price of items sold by the company (collectively) would be close to the average (or even median) price of all asking prices. If someone desired to buy an item, they would see the average price, and purchase the amount of the item they desire. This capital would then be distributed equally, in a manner similar to dividends in a publically traded company... To clarify, here's the basic outline:

1) Seller A goes to company and puts 100 mithril bars for sale, essentially "buying 100 shares worth of the mithril bar stock"

2) Seller B goes to company and puts 500 mithril bars for sale, essentially "buying 500 shares worth of the mithril bar stock"

3) Buyer C goes to company and purchases 200 mithril bars. The amount paid by Buyer C is distributed amongst Seller A and Seller B, who receive a proportionate dividend on the "shares" they own.

Effectively, this would cut down on RWT, as prices are still controlled by players, yet occur on a scale determined by the masses, and not an individual. This could increase the risk of a monopoly in areas such as high level potions or other items, but overall, there would be an end to RWT....
