Ts_Stormrage
well i found a good side on the trade system just sold 7k yew longs 710ea :XD: when they remived the wild they lost like 50k members how meny will they lose whit this one  None so far, as the update didnt work at all... Many people can still trade normally, if not all... I find this extremely funny... The difficult part was not the removal of unbalanced trade, but the creation of new content to replace what would be lost. Andrew says, "I could have removed unbalanced trade at any time, it's just a few lines of code." Not only did he fail completely to "remove a few lines of code", but the people who switched from p2p to f2p now got doubly screwed over as theyre questpoints are still worth nothing more then the entrance fee to the Champions Guild... Already we can see, for example, the price of Pure essence rise above that of many runes crafted by it (its now roughly equal to an astral, and you better be able to doublecraft Cosmics)... I am appalled though that the limit stays at 30k gp... Youd expect an incremental increase as you get more questpoints with more quests over time... Those that have a questcape now surely deserve the limit up to par with their quest achievement, and its still only a 39k margin we're currently talking about (3000+(QP-50)*1800)... The quests coming better give substantial rewards or are required for some other hugely rewarding quest, otherwise whats the point of doing them (and dont say Questcape)... In the end, I will laugh really really really hard for days on end if it turns out that they cant implement it after all the trouble they went through... But the chances of that are limited... Jagex, allow us to earn more trade rights with minigames, achievement diaries and high skill levels (1gp per level for all I care)... 123neopet
We know they'll do it eventually, after all, they even had it on people before the update, just not everyone. P2P forever!... Or at least 'til <insert excuse here> happens98% of people have signatures with made up statistics in them. If you're one of the 2% that doesn't, copy this and add it to your signature. mcneilp
I just had someone test it with me, he put a white party hat up and our trade went all the way to the second trade screen.... I've also heard of people being scammed due to this update, putting up items thinking they won't be tradable due to the limit, then bang, scammer runs of with item due to the update not taking effect yet.... Ghostlord101
Well its another mess up. They did a half hearted job with the wilderness (massively overpowered enemies, co-ordiante clues that can't be sloved), and now they gone wrong again. Duke_Freedom
Jagex still doesn't get what "testing" means, but they sure do know how to give everyone a good laugh in the new year. The value of my bank at its height. Ts_Stormrage
Did Jagex get taken over by Microsoft recently? They too listen to their customers really well, and here too, all their customers appear to be nothing more then Beta-testers... berbatovsky: If its difficult to code, then why on earth did Andrew himself say it was only a few lines..? Do any of you have any clue about the Java programming language? NO Ahem, I will give you a quote of the almighty Java masters themselves The difficult part was not the removal of unbalanced trade, but the creation of new content to replace what would be lost. Andrew says, "I could have removed unbalanced trade at any time, it's just a few lines of code." They've said it was easy as pie. Yet they messed up. And no, we don't come on here for mocking Jagex all the time. Yet they make these kind of updates we just feel like mocking because, lets face it, they stink. As soon as they start making good updates again the mocking will decrease. Interrested in joining the cabbagy madness? Do any of you have any clue about the Java programming language? NO Here we go with the mindless apologetics again. Here's how it works. If you run a company and you make poor decisions and don't communicate with your customers, they get PISSED OFF. Pretty simple, hmm? Tell me, berbatovsky.. how much programming effort does it take to change the price of an item in the GE database? A price that customers told you was wrong FOUR WEEKS AGO? How about.. holding off on the "trade imbalance" update until its replacement actually WORKS PROPERLY? addy--cady
Do any of you come on this forum for something other than mocking Jagex anymore? Nope. Do any of you have any clue how programming works? I know 14 programming languages, care to test me? Do any of you have any clue about the Java programming language? I got my Sun Java Associate Certification when I was 15, thank you. NO Hah. Now, Berbatovsky, answer your own questions. Also, did you know only about 6 people working for Jagex know Java? Interesting, huh? Andrew Gower created RuneScript, which is essentially Game Creator, but generates the models in the correct format, and the code in Java. This is why when you look at the code(Which I assume you never have), it's quite redundant. Now, does anybody else notice all these changes are happening since Constantine retired, and the Ex-CEO of Paypal -Britain took his place? Honestly, how many of you care that people sell [cabbage] IRL, OK! Good for them? But think about it, when you die with a God Sword in wildy, you lost 60M... They however lost $240 (Est.), who's more pissed off, and likely not to do it again? Jagex is just trying to change the game play, in a way that people can't sell items.... Instead, they should of made it where people don't want to buy items. More items, more requirements, [cabbage], introduce a new type of combat into the triangle. Remember years ago, way before RS2 was even introduced, Andrew mentioned he was deep into work on places where people could train with just their friends, and not be interrupted by others? Much like the instances on WoW? That right there, no fighting over popular creatures which drop valuable items. Everyone has an equal chance. Increase the chance, decrease the need. Lionheart_0
Guys, there is a difference between removing a few lines of code in theory and actually doing it. To a programmer, a few lines of code could be about 500-1000, which takes a long time to look through and figure it out. Just wait it out and they will eventually get it. Plus with a game like runescape, there are so many variables that most of them have to be accountable for. Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! swordwarior
To those using the quote, im pretty sure he meant delete code and making everyone trade the same. I would imagine its alot different changing it so everyones trade limits are diffrent. I have a feeling jagex will be paying out some overtime to get this fixed asap. If the CORPORAL beast is this hard, imagine how hard a GENERAL or COLONEL beast would be. a corporal is not even an admirable rank in armies that use that ranking system. Yeah, it is a pking minigame, so any arguments anybody makes will probably be biased. The best way this will end :Everybody just says,"I'm not arguing with you anymore, goodbye."The worst way this will end: I don't really know, psychological warfare?
