on my opinion, being low level is the most fun time in runescape...for f2p

leveling once isn't a month long trek

money isn't a worry

there a variety in game play(high levels kill lessers, bout it)

some quests are still avalible

item drops are almost always worth gathering

etc. etc. etc.

anyone agree?

Eventually, it's gonna be not fun. But I still agree with you :P. It's why I have, and regularly use, a f2p account.

I highly doubt lvl 3 players are able to get drops wich are more worth the trouble... :?

Yeah being a low level does have a temporary bliss to it :P. I have no biases against them, in fact I envy them! I remember how much more fun I had being new to the different aspects of RuneScape. There seemed like so much to do and even the F2p world seemed vast to me. However, I do not think I could ever remain a low level, I'm too darn ambitious. There's somewhat of a nice carefree-ness about them that I wish I possessed. But I just cannot resist the allure of leveling and setting goals for myself.

Thanks for the great memories folks :).

I liked it better when I was a noob because the rs world seemed so big and endless. I was ready to have a new adventure at every turn... Now i feel like I know all of rs inside and out and it's really boring in f2p <.<

u gotta think reative

*slowly kills goblin* boom! bronze square shield and suddenly chickens cant hurt you :D

make an account that ONLY does melee skills and does absolutely no non-npc trades...it pretty fun building up a character eventually getting up to decent wepons.

event better no tradeing at all... relying entirely on drops makes weapon finding a task all on its own...

yay, i clearly remember the old days now!

i spent like a month in falador only mining and smithing, i thought it was an awesome city, so i never left it. i was afraid that i would never find it again.

same with al-kharid, i spent a very long time there killing warriors so i could afford some addy scimitar.

(it was back in the rsc days though.)

It's more fun because you gain levels faster and you feel like you're actually progressing.

Once you're high level, and goals start taking days, weeks, months, it almost seems like work.

At least that's how it is for me.

being a f2p low lvl is amazing all the major achievements are fun and easy to do... cant wait to do dragon slayer again, best quest ever!

lwilson100.png

ya lol f2p seemed like i had no boundries than i met a thing called a lvl 28 guard than i was scared. but it was the most fun time because there were so many things to do and kill

Yes im the dude with the shoe

I can relate to a couple of peoples' comments on here. I'm still F2P though.. but now I'm the one getting begged <.< .

My brother and I did the obsessive thing in Falador with mining in smithing and I dreamed of having full rune armour and killing those level 28 guards... AND back then there was no trade limit and I got a whole lot of free stuff from people and learned the game.

I also had a lot of fun when I made a pure ranger with a friend because of the leveling up faster and such.

Yes, those were the days....as a noob, free stuff I got completely at random included: 1k cash (I was so delighted, i thought this kind stranger had made such a charitable donation and drained like half his bank :D ) and a mith scimmy that was supposed to be for someone else :XD:

Yes, there is a certain bliss when you are a low level, but only if it is actually your first account.

If you have a level 110 main, going on a level 3 won't be fun, as you already know what to do. You won't be picking up all the little coin drops you see, and you won't be discovering stuff.

That's where the fun is in being a low level, discovering stuff.

In Soviet Russia, glass eats OTers.

Alansson Alansson, woo woo woo!

Pink owns yes, just like you!

GOOOOOOOOOO ALAN! WOO!

It's more fun because you gain levels faster and you feel like you're actually progressing.

At least that's how it is for me.

That's exactly how I feel. Sometimes when I'm going for a goal, I make a new account a breeze past some levels, just to keep me motivated.

RS stopped becoming a game and became almost like a job once I began to work at goals. I actually found myself taking the game as an occupation (not that seriously, put enough to scare me).

Taking a moment or two to slow down really helps. When I first became a member, RS became fun again with all the new things to do. Now with most of those out of the way, it's back to the old way again. Although whenever training I take the most exciting path. PC over Monkey Guards, Pyramid Plunder over Master Farmers, Ourania Altar over Laws or Abyss.

Being high level is a drag. I've done everything, I've seen everything, and if I want to get better, i have to log into Grindscape.

Lvl 40-70s, enjoy it while you can. The game stinks after lvl 95.

Huh, weird. It's like the opposite of WoW. >_>

Good point, I agree :D.

I made a new account a while back and it was a hell of a lot of fun lvling so fast

Baconxtral.png

nope, I like being high level, I dont find it boring :)

Completely agree. I remember the one day walking all the way from Lumby to Fally. At the time i was like omg im an explorer.

If anyone plays NBA Live '08 online on the Wii please PM me. I'm up for anyone.

The world used to be truly endless... *sighs*

I'm actually working on a character just to see the new animation for D-slayer, where you chop off Elvarg's head or something.. Man, I remember doing that quest sooo long ago, a little lvl 50 scared to death of that badly-rendered pile of high-leveled green pixels... Good times. :D And I used to get so excited when I got a rune med drop... 10,000 gp was a lot back then. :P

It really is more fun being low leveled, you can achieve any goal in five minutes..

Yes, its the best part, then it goes downhill. It's even better if it is your first mmorpg ever, then everything is really new.

2480+ total

i really liked the game when i first started playing. with all this updates, it kind of lost its taste. being a lower level was a lot more fun.

I wish I could still gain 10 levels a day by only playing for half an hour.

Ruenscape as beginner makes everything seem so much more expansive. I remember i actually got lost in Varrock before.

that sense of adventure and the unknown is gone now, cause I've been everywhere seen everyone, and done everything (in f2p)

This is why I love doing quests. Oftentimes they involve a brand new area to explore again.
