Interesting music style yaff. I was always impressed at the subtlety of Dying Fetus. :o :P

I might be catching Trans-Siberian Orchestra during their winter tour soon, but I can't be sure, which angers me. :(

Hah, yeah, metal scene is insane here!

i hear you are a big fan of them, i sure hope you get to see them, ive heard one of their songs, and well, its not my style, but it seems very cool! gl on getting there!

Almost exactly one year ago, I went to my first concert, the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Can't compare it to any others seeing as it's the only one I've been to, but it was pretty awesome.

Are you only willing to broaden your music preferences to dark, heavy, black, underground, beaten, caramelized, roast-on-a-spit metal? :P

Hah :P actually, compared to when i first started getting into metal, im actually starting to listen to all sorts of genres. but usually, its metal, death metal, power metal, grindcore, technical death metal, etc etc.

I was more intrigued by the band name 'Cupcake'.

and belive it or not, they are Grindcore, my borther saw them, and said they were insane, so i hadda check them out :P they arnt as they seem, they are brutal, disgusting, and tryign to get banned, they are awesoem, my and my bro got their stage props when we saw them XD

I was there. \'

Amazing. Nuf Said.

Just saw Tran-Siberian Orchestra a couple of weeks back.

It was kinda wierd going from a stand-up-the-whole-time concert of the Chili Peppers to the sit-down-and-have-old-people-yell-at-you-if-you-stand-up kind of concert that the Trans-Siberian one was.

Next (planned anyway, could always change) concert for me is Paganfest on April 3rd; Korpiklaani, Ensiferium, Tyr, Moonsorrow and other folk bands from the grim and frostbitten northern wastes. I feel like sacking something \'

I agree 100%. I was like, "What the hell?!? :-s " when no one was standing. Me and a friend of mine stood up to try to get other people to stand, but a bunch of people yelled at us to sit down. We flicked em off before sitting down (Just to keep our dignity). Lol that was almost the best part of the concert...Other than the music being good of course. Later on in the show, the lead guitarist...err...one of em...made everyone stand up for one of his solos, but once it was over everyone sat back down. Overall, it was just an ackward experience.

Oh nice topic!

Some bands i've gone to see...

Iron Maiden (2000, 03, 05, 06, 07)... Not sure if i will go and see them at Stockholm Stadion this summer, because i didn't get a ticket when they were released (everyone buys 10 tickets and then puts the tickets on sale on some auction site with a 30% higher price... Which i, mildy said, hate).

In Flames 2 or 3 times, Trivium, Entombed 2 times, Opeth 2 times, Satyricon, Amon Amarth, Bolt Thrower, Krux, BB King (i'm so happy i went to see him playing in Gothenburg 06)... and more bands that i can't remember.

Im the same way, if I want to go to a show and no floor tickets are left then I wont bother going.

First concert was Incubus, I think I was 12 and I was on the barricade. It was cool because they shot a music video for Nice To Know You.

My second was Ozzfest which was awesome. It was kinda akward because I went with my dad and uncle and everywhere you look girls would flash us.(I was still 12)

Most shows that I go to now are punk or hardcore shows. I have alot of friends and family in bands so I usually attend 1 show a week.

Best shows I have been to are all AFI shows and Prince.

One band that I really want to see live is Akercocke. Ive been a fan forever and I dont think they ever toured America, but if I ever go to London I really want to see them.

First: Nightwish, Lordi

Second: Megadeth, Diamond Head

Third: Hammerfall, Stratovarius and some other band... Chakra or something?

Fourth: Iron Maiden, In Flames

Fifth: Sonata Arctica and a crappy supportband

Sixth: Iron Maiden, Trivium

Seventh: Saxon, Masterplan, Hellfueled (caught a drumstick!)

I've also seen my friends' band a number of times and plenty of other "amateur" bands.

Concerts I've missed:

Hammerfall because I was sick.

Rolling Stones because Keith Richards is [cabbage]ty at climbing trees.

Next: I might see Megadeth again in feb, and me and some other friends are planning to go to Sweden Rock Festival. The lineup easily beats any other festival this year, and they haven't even released the entire list yet.
