sebbeberg
Okey, i found a rather intesting topic on totse about this subject. It's as the topic title says; what would you do without the internet? I mean.. The internet would not exist. I'd probably still be a total [wagon], skipping classes in school and ruining my life. I'd also never met my girlfriend. I'd never been in the Home Guard. (as i found out that they had cadet training on the internet) Well, i wouldn't sit here. I'd probably be out getting wasted. Edit: I do not want replys like this one below by Jopie211. Edit:Edit: the question is not if the internet CEASED TO exist. The question is: If it DID NOT exist. angryjoe
Hmm. I'd probably go out more, but i can never be arsed usually since it is so nice and warm inside. :) I suppose I would read more books and buy more newspapers. Use my phone more often. That sort of thing. :-k
Kiriyama
Invent it. Heh thats a good idea. Face it, if the internet never exsisted, then we'd be able to deal with it, as it was never there in the first friggin place. Maybe if your question was "What if the internet suddenly ceased to exsist?", then I could give a better answer. BlueLancer
Have worse typing, grammar and punctuation. Don't get me started on that. I'd still type like one of those myspace reta....Nevermind. What did people do in, about 1997 when nearly nobody had an internet connection at home? Well... They did all the same stuff, except people were at other people's houses and outside more than now. In 2008, people rather challenge their friends to online poker, online strategy game... Read news online... Pretty much, outsource their life online. I don't mind, but nothing is more fun than playing an actual board game or poker game with friends/relatives :) Actually going to the movies instead of downloading new films from Bittorrent is also fun, so are newspapers (even though they are time consuming to read if you're on a schedule). Face it, the average modern people in western countries have found out they can do almost everything online that they can do in the real world, just faster and without having to move.. And people wonder where the fat everquest/RPG nerd stereotype comes from... Azvareth
I probably wouldn't be as lazy and I wouldn't procrastinate as much - but on the other hand my English wouldn't be 10% of what it is today. I'd also probably be much less argumentative.
meol
I'd be much more ignorant. The internet has always been a great source of knowledge for me. I'd probably be just as social as I'm now, I'd just simply phone a friend instead of messaging him, and I'd certainly read more. This signature is intentionally left blank. assassin_696
I guess i'd be more focused, the internet can be really distracting when it's just there all the time. I'd also be a lot less world wise and knowledgeable. I've learnt a lot from the internet. pryomancer
+1 for procrastination. But I quite like being a slacker. I value doing absolutely nothing constructive, unlike others who need to do stuff.

Kashi
What did people do in, about 1997 when nearly nobody had an internet connection at home? I dunno' about 'nearly nobody'. I did, and most people I knew did, although since I was 7 at the time I didn't have much use for it.
