'Thiesje' was not available when I tried it, then I made 'Thiesje1'. I died, lost my stuff and thought I would never be successfull so I started a new account. That's Thiesje2.

My original account "Pikachu54673" had numbers because it was the name of my neopets account

And, as you can probably see, I also named my TIF account the same thing as a tribute to my first RS account.

My first account was original with no numbers but after a few months of playing I got bored, quit, came back and made a new account. The new account was also original with no numbers. After around two years I got bored again, quit, and came back, made a new account.

When I created Rainchaser07 in November last year RainChaser was already taken, but I wanted something completely different from my previous accounts. Since the year was 07 I thought what the heck and added it in.

There aren't a lot of people around nowadays without numbers in their names for the simple fact, there aren't many names left. With so many players and then the majority of those players having more than one account. The amount of names available will be low, numbers just make it easier to have the name that you want.

When I created my account, I did not understand what "username" meant, or that it would be the name every player would see. Otherwise I'd have picked a very different name (which I later wnet back and did, but do not use those accounts). The numbers on my name mean nothing, just as the name means nothing to me. MY biggest regret in Runescape was creating my name

My original account was aruschpler, but I lost the pass, because I didn't play in forever. That account was made in late 2001. the account I use today was created February 28, 2002, IIRC.

It's called the "Grand Exchange," and not the "Grand Alwaysatyourservicetodoyourbidding, regardlessoftheneedsofothers," for a reason.

I would indeed be happy if someone stopped spreading cancer all over this place. Even though it tends to be funny to read, but not as much when someone who demands people to make way for him comes along and decides to call others arrogant.

Well the name I originally choose didn't have numbers but it was taken so therefore my name has numbers in it :)

Cbow! Cbow!!!!! +120 range is orgasmic. Or maul, thats what I'd get out of those two options.

I agree with baconisbacon, Cbow looks freaking sensual

I wanted to be called Zodiark like from the game final fantasy (note that i never wanted to be zodiac or zodiak as everyone seems to think) but unfortunately that was taken so i just went for z0diark and hoped that it was still there so i didn't need any irrelevant numbers at the end.

My first account I actually abandoned just because it had numbers at the end of the name :P

i feel that people with numbers in their names on games are stupid. all you are doing is copying the original. be creative and think of your own name if one you want is taken.

Unfortunately, with hundreds of thousands of accounts, there isn't really very much room for creative input anymore seeing many, if not most of the more "original" names have already been registered. Chances are, if you come up with something "original", someone else has thought about the same thing as well. So, unless you come up with something original that means something to you but is nonsensical to everyone else, you're pretty much obliged to make use of numbers in your nickname.

Two years ago, I made two scouts to mine rune in the wild. I tried to provide original names for them, yet every single one of them and their most logical derivates had already been taken or were otherwise not available (we're not talking about three or four, but somewhere in the vicinity of around two dozen here). In the end, I got fed up with the process and just settled for a nickname with numbers.

It is hard to be creative when you have artificial boundaries imposed upon yourself. In the end, many people don't even want to bother anymore and just settle for whatever is easiest.

Indeed my friend :)

I made 'Kapeg90' (the 'Kapeg' part is my nickname), but I don't actually know if Kapeg on its own is taken or not, because I intended on having '90' on the end. :D
