I currently started playing again after a year, and all the randoms I have gotten in the past few days just seemed worse than I remembered. I got three(edit make that four now) spinach rolls in a row. I remember when I once got three diamonds and one k from the mysterious man(not great but the diamonds really helped for crafting). What do you guys and girls think?

eh.. I get about 8-12 random events a day. it's so annoying. most of them are mimes or clone girls or evil bob.

I think it's just you, the randoms I get give pretty useful rewards that I use a lot, like gems, 600+ gp (it's not that I'm poor, but 5k a day from randoms?), and just odd things. If anything Jagex improved the rewards given by randoms.

I've personally found them to be giving me better rewards than ever.

May be to do with me being level 3. But i get over 10 randoms a day giving me 30-40gp, when i used to be getting 500-2k

Why do you say that. I never thought even at the hieght of some of the more crappy randoms that they would take them away. They have done that to how many since they started, all of two I think.

They're getting rid of them because they were designed to beat bots... but now bots are gone ^-^

Some randoms should still remain to beat the macroers. It stops the selling but it doesn't people won't get tons of resources for themselves. So they will remain, unfortunately.

 

 

 

I would be quite sad if Pete and Molly disappeared, they give good herbs and gems respectively and is quite a quick random. Whilst Mime.....I don't want to see it ever again after I have got my full mime and emote.

 

 

 

The worst thing about randoms is when they get you a minute after you log on. This really defeats the purpose of a random....am I really going to be botting when i just logged in and is in front of a bank.

According to me, the random event rewards haven't changed. I have got slightly better rewards than I used to get before, for example I got 5 uncut rubys from the molly event and two diamonds from the pinball event when I was at the agility arena in Brimhaven. But this is just because I was lucky, and not because the rewards have got either better or worse. It's all about the luck you have got.

Well personally, i've had an insane amount of genies these past few days. For the last 3 days i've been getting 5-6 a day when before i'd get 1-2. But then, i guess it's probably just luck on my part.

I'm afraid by the nature of chance, there's always people who will get unlucky and lucky streaks, and will then write a thread about how they think they've changed. It's chance, nothing has changed. Besides, why would they need to change them?

All seem to the same to me, haven't seen any difference in the number of randoms I get, nor the rewards I get from them.

 

 

 

By the way, does anyone know what randoms will get removed? Hope they keep the genie and the classroom one.

I'm just back from a 5-6 month break and I'm finding that randoms seem less common than before I left. It's maybe just coz all I've done since coming back is fishing, so I don't know for sure.... but the types of randoms I'm getting seem about the same. No change so far as I can see.

Im not getting particularly bad rewards I think...I'm just annoyed that randoms are in the game at all.

When I first started to play Runescape I never used to get Randoms, but now I get at least one a day when I log in which isn't to bad. Like other people have already said, it is all about luck. A lot of things like drops and random rewards are based on luck. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you are extremely unlucky. Just have to deal with it until the turn of the tide.

No, not really.

I'm starting to like randoms, to be honest. I usually get the maze 1 or 2 times a day, and with that comes easily 50k if I get death runes. The maze design is easy to memorize, and only once or twice have I started somewhere else. Diamonds, snapdraggons, even a ruby is a nice prize, but I think they should make more prizes, based on what you are doing. If you are farming, give us some ranarr seeds. If you are in combat, give me cooked monkfish. Also, they should make more emotes. Push ups, sit-ups, star jumps anyone?

I found that yesterday, I was getting way too many randoms. Many more then I would usually get, but it's more normal today, so I guess it was just a random occurrence of randoms.
