June 14, 200818 yr I think that quest capes should be trimmed too! It takes a lot of work to get a quest cape and most often it takes much more than just clicking a few thousands of times like you need to do for getting for example a 99 cooking cape. Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak
June 14, 200818 yr I'm all for using Achievement Diaries to trim the Quest Cape. Every month I check the Behind the Scenes specifically looking for a new one. It's about time for another one. Getting Smithing for Varrock 3 was the last time I trained anything for a specific goal. It's nice to have something tangible to work towards. I'm working towards 70 farming to finish my lvl 3 diary as well. lulz wut?
June 15, 200818 yr I don't own a Quest Cape, but it does sound cool to have a light sky blue trim on it. :o Achieved 99 Woodcutting on 12/06/08
June 15, 200818 yr Author Good idea but what color trim? I think any other color would look ugly. I was thinking dark blue or black trim. lulz wut?
June 15, 200818 yr A slightly darker blue. White you could barely see, and a black, or dark dark blue would clash annoyingly, seeing as Quest Capes are supposed to be light. And you can't complain about 70 farming being a req for a trimmed quest cape... the whole point is to make it more impressive.
June 15, 200818 yr I would like to see the cape trimmed if you already have two or more 99s. I prefer to wear it as it goes better with my normal fighting armour. However when they come out with more diaries, using another cape sounds like a good idea as well. If all the world is a stage, can someone please get all the clowns off the stage so the performance can begin?

I didnt whine about it :P btw i agree, "slightly darker blue* would be nice. lulz wut?
June 16, 200818 yr I'm envisioning this. You're out monster hunting as you log out for the night in the middle of a trip. The next day a new quest comes out and your cape becomes untrimmed. Now it turns out you don't have enough prayer pots to finish without your prayer boost. Or whatever. Or maybe your attack cape randomly stops matching your menaphite robes. I dunno. I just don't like the idea of having capes that un-trim themselves. It feels like an achievement is being taken away. Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP
June 16, 200818 yr Well, that's the same danger that the normal quest cape had. You couldn't always wear it. Maybe the trim comes when you've finished every Diary, but you just need the Quest Cape to get the trim added on. Diaries don't come out as often as quests, so you wouldn't need to worry too much about losing it at an important time.
June 16, 200818 yr I cant remember the last quest to come out that i've had to work on a skill to reach the requirements. Well done Jagex. As for the cape, should be trimmed with achievement diaries but I wont go into more detail as other people have already talked about it. June 16, 200818 yr quest cape was my first achievement cape and it didnt feel like a 99. TBH i still dont think it equates to a 99. The reqs really arent that hard to get... 69 smithing is what? Less than 1M experience. Nothing TBH My blogMaxed CMB, 99 summoning/construction

June 16, 200818 yr I think that it's a good idea to trim the quest cape with an achievement diary cape when more have been released (5 or 6 is a good number). Also, of course, the quest cape trims the diary cape. The thing is that I don't feel comfortable in placing the Quest cape in the same group of achievement as 99 skills. They're neither higher nor lower than each other, but you really can't define them together because of their different natures. But, It's easy to stick the Diaries in the same group because they have similar natures (new tasks appear all the time, and quests are effectively a structured succession of tasks like the Achievement Diaries). But I would think that they would colour the achievement diary cape green, because it's symbol is effectively a light green version of the quest symbol. ~ W ~
June 16, 200818 yr Why not just have the quest cape trimmed when you complete all the diaries (when there's more to easy atm), I don't see the point for a achievement diary cape by itself. Thanks Gradeskip93 for my awesome sig!
June 16, 200818 yr I think quest capes arent trim-able because EVERY time a new quest comes out, you, in theory, lose the cape. That would probably mean your capes would become untrimmed every new quest. Unless they made it stay trimmed, which would mean people would get it to trim another cape, and never touch quests again. The reason jagex isnt making quests with high reqs, might be because theyre to scared. Think about it, if they released a quest needing: 80 hunter, 70 mining, 60 runecraft, 67 slayer, and 82 fletching, that would knock a good number of quest capes out of the game for quite a while. People would get mad about the high reqs. and start whining. With the reaction to the new quest, needing "only" 69 smithing, people got really mad. What would it be like if they needed skills in the 80s. Jagex has to cater to the majority, but theyre just doing really bad at it. I think they need to slowly raise the levels. Or just make 60-70 reqs, and harder/more puzzling bosses/problems in the quest. Off topic: I see the smileys have been fixed BOO

Less than 1M experience. Nothing TBH Thats one requirement... All the highest requirements added together adds up to over 10m experience needed, and thats if you have the bare minimum, and perfectly balanced combat stats (for 85 combat). The remaining time that it takes to do the quests, plus the costs used during the quests could easily compare to that more than several capes. ~Dan : 1437 : 173Lowest Combat to 1,000 Total in F2P (23 Combat)Check me out on YouTube!

June 17, 200818 yr I believe Jagex covertly said, via the Wise Old Man, that eventually an Acheivement Diary cape would trim the Quest Cape, after more Diaries are added. June 19, 200818 yr When Jagex adds more diaries, I think that's when they'll add trims. All diaries done = trimmed. 2480+ total
