June 18, 200818 yr I use MSN. But I customize it to get rid of the crap, and honestly, I thiknk it's the best than the others. Gtalk is too plain and no one uses it. AIM is for adults in the US, and Yahoo is for people who live in the 3rd world. And well, IRC is for nerds (no offense).
June 18, 200818 yr I prefer IRC. Much easier to use and more customisable in my opinion. Group chat is also much better than others, whilst still maintaining a good 1 to 1 system. "In the beginning, the universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move."
June 18, 200818 yr MSN is ftw...but online, i only give my AIM name...call me paranoid :XD: The MSN environment is a lot better than most other i've used though (AIM, Yahoo etc.)
June 20, 200818 yr I use IRC, GTalk and MSN. IRC is good for multi-chats and for chats that are quiet much of the time but don't become awkward because of it. GTalk is nice and simple and I use it for phone calls with my parents. MSN I use for chats with the less techy friend groups I have. I don't really have a preference, they're just good for different situations. For it is the greyness of dusk that reigns. The time when the living and the dead exist as one.
June 21, 200818 yr I've never been a big fan of proprietary systems and wish more people would use Email and IRC more often. I like Skype because of it's end to end encryption and p2p network, but without people to talk to there's little point in installing it. Plus it's not open source. I also like the FaceBook chat feature (it's just convenient) but the client (web based) sucks. Again no open source (I wish they would add Jabber support to it.) Over all I prefer platforms that allow cross communication between users on different networks (Email, Phones, Jabber), and allow you to move your address/handle/number when you switch provider (Email, Phones) EDIT: I mostly use my phone and email because I know allot of people who don't use IM. ~Dan64AuSince 27 Aug 2002
June 27, 200818 yr theese polls are surprising. i find more and more people idling msn and going towards facebook. Myspace is also growing as a way for amatuers to show their stuff. Ive never tried it but that skype video calling thing looks sweet, the future of long distance!
June 27, 200818 yr AIM ftw. I really don't know what all the hype about MSN is. I don't know if my version's out-dated or anything, but the one I have sucks. I'd choose AIM over it any day. Anyways, BBL OFF TO SLEEP WITH A RACCOON
June 27, 200818 yr Being a Mac user, I've always used AIM through Apple's program, iChat. I also use MSN, but the interfaces are extremely bulky and ugly. 8,325th to 99 Firemaking 3/9/08 | 44,811th to 99 Cooking 7/16/084,968th to 99 Farming 10/9/09 | Runescaper August 2005-March 2010Tip.it Mod Feb. 2008-Sep. 2008 | Tip.it Crew Sep. 2008-Nov. 2009

June 28, 200818 yr I've used only MSN and AIM. MSN has to be about 5 times better then AIM .. multiple people in a convo, doesn't look as badly, not-annoying smileys, webcam, can draw, looks much better. Actually, I only have AIM because everyone in my school uses it. I only know one person who uses MSN. Such a shame.
June 28, 200818 yr msn for sure 8,180WONGTONG IS THE BEST AND IS MORE SUPERIOR THAN ME#1 Wongtong stalker.Im looking for some No Limit soldiers!

June 30, 200818 yr AIM wins it for me, not sure where the love for MSN is coming from; I never knew enough people that used it to make it worthwhile. Metal fans, check out my band!Still the King....
August 16, 200817 yr Hmm, I haven't heard of anyone (apart from this forum) having AIM before :? [insert birds flying in a circle here]Yes, that sig was annoying.
August 17, 200817 yr I've always used AIM, because that's what all my friends use. I've never tried MSN.
August 18, 200817 yr I use MSN, I just have never gotten into any of the others. My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.
August 18, 200817 yr Skype. 'Nuff said. (Also MSN for people who don't want to install Skype. :wall: ) I once shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die.Pics or it didn't happen. I hate my generation.
August 18, 200817 yr Pidgin, Have friends who use both AIM and MSN so pidgin offers me the convenience of not having to run multiple instant messaging application at once
