To elaborate, when the quest first came out, the items were classified as nonmember items, so people could buy the skirts and give them out to f2p players.

Anyone that's play rs1 (or rs2 for that matter) knows that graphics don't make a game... the gameplay does. Sure the new graphics sound cool, and I'm glad to see so many people excited for them, but it's just a facelift.

 

 

 

As someone said, those prose skirts were f2p for the first day of their release, and I had a friend buy them in p2p, and sell me them in f2p :) I've never even touched them since then, just kinda cool to have them.

Hey there Jake, it's been a long run, hasn't it? We didn't really get to know each other, but from all my times with the OoC, I would see you outside Draynor bank cooking away on a single fire. It was such a relief to see you every time I passed by with a load of cabbages.

 

 

 

But all great things have to go at one time in life or not. It's not going to be the same with you cooking away, but those times will forever be in my memories, so you will always have a place there. I'm glad you had a fun time, now the one thing I say to every user to leave, "Don't be a stranger now, ya hear?" :P

Clan wars was the way that I went out too. I came back to RS from a break for clan wars, raced a friend I met there to 100 combat, then stopped playing.

 

 

 

I would have loved to have kept playing if my friends had stayed. Possibly my best friend quit while I was taking a break in 2007, and I never know what happened to them, never got the chance to keep in touch.

 

 

 

Just make sure, for those of your friends who don't use these forums, to tell them where you're going. Otherwise they'll probably always wonder what happened to you.

Not sure if I already explained the proselyte skirts on this topic, but they were tradable to f2pers on the first day they came out, so I had a (p2p) friend buy em in p2p and trade to me in f2p.

 

 

 

I haven't been a fan of melee stats since rs2 came along. I kind of liked pking in rs1, when you could 3 hit people. My stats were like 60 att, 50 def, 72-ish str, which fared decently against the few non-autoed accounts out there.

 

Once rs2 came along, people could run after 1 round, so I stopped caring for melee stats. Range and mage became my new favorite combat skills.
