And it is pretty much true nowadays i mean you dont even have to be 13 to sign up any more.

This is why Jagex needs to make their objective 15+ and not those under 10. Unless they want game reviews as silly as that, and as insulting as it is to those who do play RuneScape.

 

 

 

I can't believe they gave such a vague and deteriorating review. Honestly, the person sounded like they played until combat level 30, and had a 600 total.

teens is ok... how is that embarrassing. And it is kind of the truth because u do see many immature players on runescape. but we learn to deal with it.

 

 

 

and for the people who say make it 15+. That is just stupid! Why would Jagex really care about the age of their customers. as long as they r making money and there r no legal issues jagex could care less. 13+ is good enough but it doesnt even help because u can simply lie on those and jagex cant even find out how old u r because of the personal questions rule...

It's a well known fact that rs has a horrible little kid infestation. Most points of the article are right, the training is extremely repetitive and the combat is dull.

I loled at some of the infomation in the review. Like sheep sheering and how runescape is recomended for teens and tweens while the other games had much better recomendations. :D

I used to read Gamespot reviews when i was a little kid, then i stopped because they are stupid, biased reviews that only care about graphics and sales.

Looks like dribble to me. No sources to back his claims up, no attempt at a real analysis...just raw bashing and dashing the game.

 

 

 

Besides that, why should we care who recommends this game for whatever age group? It's the teenagers that will wind up crying over the age, when everyone else in the world just wants to game.

That screenshot of Runescape makes me want to sign up another member account. Looks good.

 

 

 

Also: What they said about Runescape and its players: They were right, but that is EVERY MMO, especially free ones.

I think the reviewer based his review solely on his experiences as a beginning character. Check out the video review where he fights Cows and Goblins.

I was wondering that myself, until I watched the associated trailer in which the guy had completed tutorial island 5 minutes prior to 'congratulations you just advanced an attack level, your attack level is now level 3.' on golbins...

 

 

 

O almost forgot, he got a nice level four combat as well. :roll:

There's no way to stop under 13's playing. PC's can't scan bodies and see what your age is unfortunatly. But if they could, I think it may effect the community in a good way.

Im a regular user of Gamespot :ugeek: and i was expecting this in the 'Cheaper by the Dozen' article, in all it was good while pointing out its flaws with consturctive crititism
