"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice

Featured Replies

Hmm, slight situation on my hands, although it's better than before.

So I like this girl, who I'll refer to here as Gabby. She's fun, and both of us basically like each other, but she seems more interested in this other girl, whose name is Krystal. What should I do here, since I'm not sure how to handle this effectively, seeing how Krystal is neutral with me, but has no interest in me? Either attempt to triangulate the relationship, which will fail most certainly, or...

Am I seriously losing out to a lesbian here?

I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal.

  • Obviously you ask her to come with you. Drive with her to the steepest mountain. Put her in the backpack and spend a week climbing the mountain. You will drink the rain and you will eat like a bear. B

  • Okay so I'm pretty confident at least 2 of you remember me and maybe .5 of you remember how my last post went. To recap, I went on the first date of my life and then a second one that went poorly.   T

Just cause she's a girl doesn't mean she should be treated any different as f you were competeing with another man. You still have to prove you're the better option.

That's not me, I try everyday. I just feel like everyone's out to get me (and I guess that's a flaw of mine too, so instead of giving it a rational reason it just leads back into more negativity for me to feed on). I'll go to give a kid advice and then he'll go around and then apparently I'm doing it for selfish reasons. I go to a concert and everyone asks as if I'm a burden.

That stuff doesn't really matter at all, I'm just venting. My 'friend' tells me that I have issues in which I over-react and over-analyze what people do, and that's what makes me "act like a 3 year old all the time".

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you: you'll lose the friends you had before this little change. You'll make better ones, though, so don't worry. You just have to start learning to sorta play dumb sometimes. Be a clockmaker - never really seen, but always manipulating things from behind the scenes.

catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

Yeah, I'm thinking that. I gotta get creative here, I already know I'm a much nicer person, but at the same time more confident. Time to do some scheming.

Thanks rpg, lent. This is why I love you guys in this thread. My friend is still mad at me, and last night I kind of lost sight of my goals by thinking in the sense it was pointless and wouldn't change anything.

you can start your badboy streak by slapping the mess outta your so called "friend"

My so called friend is a girl haha. =/ It's not that she's a bad person at all, I just make it seem that way when I rant. No one really wants to hear their flaws but she sees right through me.

I'm going with my girlfriend to a movie on friday night. Should I lean in to kiss her or let her make the first move?

No. You lock that **** down. All her bases belong to you.

Instead of going on an alpha male rant, I'm going to question your question. Why would you even consider it okay to "wait to see what happens passively". Or as you said "let her make the first move". Smoe girls like making the first move, so don't get offended if she does [hell, i find that quality in women REALLY sexy]. But be a man. Own up, take the situation by the horns and own that [cabbage]. She agreed to go out with you, that means yoyu have a pass to go as far as she'll let you. Don't be a fraid to push that boundery.

in other words...

MAKE THE FIRST MOVE

Most girls won't make the first move so I wouldn't hold my breath. Why does it matter though?

I still don't get why people hook up in the movies

@jeff, yeah, and I suck with the ladies. I still thought I could at least answer that, though.

There's something attractive about paying 20 bucks to make out in public, I guess.

So.... tips on asking a girl to prom? The girl has been one of my bestfriends for years (we even went to grade 8 grad together) and a couple months ago we started hooking up. The girl definitely still likes me and her friends said she would say yes. How should I ask her?

You could be cheesy and lead into it somehow. Or simply man up and ask boldly. You really have nothing to lose, and asking never hurt anything, right?

Lol. But yeah, try to be a bit creative. Girls seem to love that, it shows you put a bit of thought into it.

Yeah, I was just thinking of asking her straight up "do you want to go to prom with me?". But, maybe she would like something more creative.

My friend came up with this:

Me: Hey, I was just wondering what colour your dress is for prom, ya know, so we can match. Oh wait, I forgot step 1, do you want to go to prom with me?

Girl: Heck yes!

Ahaha.. is that any good?
