It's hard to follow last month. The firemaking update seems cool.

I hope it doesn't make RCing insanely fast like Pyramid Plunder did to Thieving.

I'm seriously hoping not, why speed up skills that dont really need it, the reward in runecrafting is the money with the minigame if it nerfs it and alot more have 91, the minigame doesnt actually involve any runecrafting just pushing orbs, it'd seem understandable if its like vinesweeper 1xp for 1 point, but you can get new crafting gloves like nature gloves to help training, or even pouch repair kits, perhaps even an npc to teleport you to abyss or a bank in the guild near a mining spot for essence.

Most people get their buyables through runecrafting, to take it away by nerfing it so everyone does it easily doesnt seem fun, because alot of us dont go to godwars and get hilts, so wheres the next money maker

Eh, it's progress! I hope it does make Runecrafting faster, as it's so slow now.

...the concluding part of the Spirit of Summer series will be released at the end of the Summer...

I'm pretty sure that means SoS2 will be the last August update?

Maybe 99 firemaking will pay off?

And rc guild will probaly have a way to ge back your pouches without killing abyssal creatures, I reckon.

Decent month :D

*prays max rc guild req is 75*

I really hope the guild sells P ess for cheaper then GE price, the whole reason I'm not Runecrafting is because I only make half of what you used to make..Just feels pointless veen though its good cash.

Would it be possible that in the RC-guild, you could train your runecrafting faster then former methods, being ZMI and Abyss, but that you barely or not receive runes. In that case the price of the runes might even go up, cause there will be less supply \'

Anyway, seems like a rather normal month :).

other than the fact that the mention of Sos2 comes AFTER the heading of a glimpse of the future and that early september would still be summer your argument of its not directly under the title therefore it doesn't apply is flawless.

Did you know chapter 2 onwards of harry potter isn't actually part of harry potter because its not directly under the title?

Sounds like another boring month.

If you define boring as several new quests a revamp of firemaking, which needs it horribly, and a RC update which sounds amazing.

I do. I'm more of a combat nut. I hate quests(I'm the only Level 125 with dragon gloves because i have 160 qp), I havn't touched firemaking in a year and i havnt touched RC in 5 months.

Thanks to all those who have messaged me concerning a revamp of my Range-Slayer guide. Because of you all I will start rewriting it asap.[/color]

hate to sound negative but it would have been a better month had they finished the clan wars and ffa arena update; i understand why they didnt and i'm glad they are taking their time with all the finishing touches.

the quest meeting history, [garden tool] hum, wonder what the reward is; hope its not the tiny update i think it is.

the rc minigame may be fun so here's hoping that it is; seems to me since they say it's an alternative way to train your runecrafting, xp is the reward, maybe other rewards but nothing stated; personally i dont see how rc xp is that much of a reward considering you can make good money training runecrafting, but maybe there will be other rewards...

will be neat to have a runecrafting guild, i cant imagine what will be there. will be interesting to find out, i'm wondering if the minigame is actually in the guild; if it is, that raises some questions on who will train rc there. i guess the minigame rewards would be fair/good since you have to have the reqs to get in the guild. or maybe the rc minigame is seperate from the guild? and if that's the case what would be in the guild?

the firemaking update sounds like a more fun way to train firemaking; not that i want to train firemaking... rewards are always good so, probably new stuff, cant complain about that. i actually hope its f2p, i mean if you're f2p and want to train firemaking... why not give them another option. but it may or may not be f2p. they would have to limit the rewards if it were, and that is a limitation when they make an update both f2p and p2p. it is another quest so, most likely p2p, but if jagex were to add a new quest seems like it would be 1 they would add for f2p, but i wouldnt get your hopes up if you're f2p, the river salve is in a p2p area.

as for the update to bts, looks good. just a more visual teaser. that's not a bad idea. the 3 pvp updates are all multi? from reading it, it looks that way. three new pvp minigames; interesting. hope to hear more about them soon. initially kind of a disappointing month but maybe these updates will be better than i expected.

as for the clan wars and free for all arenas that's a f2p and p2p update so everyone can enjoy that when it comes. it's possible 1 of the 3 new pvp's will be f2p or maybe all of them, who knows? the free for all arenas and clan wars updates sound like a lot of fun and that's probably the biggest update i'm looking forward to. i'm glad they are taking their time and putting all the finishing touches on it before they release it, they didnt say it would be released next month but i'm guessing it will be.

Looks like a fair month, nothing really amazing though. Glad to see Firemanking get an update, though I'm disappointed in the way they updated it. It just doesn't sound that great to me. Hope they prove me wrong!

It seems with Jagex that it's always the months that look really bad that turn out to be the best

Dont want to seem mean, but i think its funny how people keep hoping for f2p updates.

I think there have been alot of them lately and i dont think free players need anymore updates at this moment in time.

Just had to get it out. :P

Yes, it would be insanely generous of Jagex to give F2P another update after the past couple of months. But that doesn't mean we can't hope. ;)

Not content with updating one skill this month, we've decided to reignite Firemaking too. In Varrock, King Roald has become increasingly wary of the evil eyes casting greedy looks at his city, so he'll be taking precautions: fourteen warning beacons, running from the River Salve to the western end of the Wilderness. The problem is, no one will be available to test them out, so - surprise, surprise - you'll become the most suitable candidate.

So begins All Fired Up, a sizzling new quest that acts as a simple and very short tutorial for beacon lighting. What can you do with large cauldrons full of sticks, you may ask? Well, your task, if you should choose to accept it, will be to light as many as possible at one time, offering you an entertaining and alternative method for training your Firemaking - oh, and the rewards will make you the toast of firemakers everywhere...

For some reason this reminds me of the smoke diamond in desert treasure

I can't wait for Jagex to tank on the Firemaking update by making it based around the low level firemaking, and making the rewards more of a hastle to use than a reward in fact.

Don't believe they will make it based on low levels? They screwed up on Sorceress's Garden, for thieving, because it was low level based, so they can do it again for firemaking.

Ohh well.

Am I the only one who thought the new FM update sounds like what wilderness tag would of been, except with firemaking.
