I cracked open my red ring'd x-box today with my dad. Ordered some heat sinks online...should be able to fix it within a week. Worst case scenario I buy a new one. whatevs.

 

Buying good thermal paste would have been enough ;).

Are you going to keep using the Xbox case, or are you going to put the Xbox in a computer case?

 

I actually have a friend that bought a RROD'd Xbox on Ebay and replaced the thermal paste and heatsink, but not only did that, but also replaced the Xbox case with a computer case that he had laying around. Has worked since, and works pretty well too.

My parents came up to visit my sister and I (it's been two weeks). They took us out to breakfast, which was nice. Of course, my sister (year older than me) did all the talking. I didn't have much to talk about.

 

They also brought me my mattress pad. Hell yah! :thumbup:

Today I bought a tent, and went running. I also played like 5 hours of guitar throughout the day, which is honestly the first time I did that. Also, it hurt.

 

Other than that, uneventful I guess.

Have a few friends from another university over. They decided it'd be fun to watch porn on one of their laptops, so that's what they're doing.

 

On a different note, one of them is over because we told he should come down to hang out. One of his really good girl friends overdosed (forget which drug) and died. So we didn't want him to get smashed and maybe do something not so smart (he gets really emotional and drinks a lot and has talked about suicide; he's experienced a lot of [cabbage] in his life, death of his mom, dad can't support him).

Yup, dry campus. I'm at a private college, so they're allowed to search your room and everything, as opposed to public campuses, where it's illegal to search the room.
