its been a while since i posted because there's a lot of stuff i wanted to post about but didn't feel like typing up. Basically flew home for a music festival (blissfest) about two weekends ago and had a beautiful time with my closest friends back home. It was a fantastic time, the music was beautiful, we all tripped on a beach (about 20 of us) which was a pretty beautiful time. Ended up candy flipping for the first time too haha.

 

Anyways last night i went to my first Phish concert and my god it was beautiful. Found some fantastic acid in the parking lot too haha. If any of you ever have the chance to see Phish live go for it, words can't describe how amazing their set was compared to their studio music which I barely even listened too beforehand.

 

Trying to figure out what to do with my day now. I'm pretty pooped right now but I'm trying to decide between seeing Death Grips and Say Anything/Modern Baseball/Cymbals Eat Guitars tonight.

Today, 3 more cows were shot. Our previous record was 2 cows during the whole summer and most summers we've had none shot here.

 

Insane.

Other than the owner I'm the only person that speaks english as a first language. I speak spanish to a point where I can understand most of it but when I speak its probably like listening to a 3 year old with a shitty accent. Unfortunately, its the reciprocal for my fellow kitchen folks who speak fluent spanish, but when they attempt to speak english its frustratingly broken and unintelligible. The verb "clean" and the phrase "make very nice please" are basically the only instructions im ever given. Oddly "clean" usually means "pick" or "peel" or "chop" and "make very nice please" means "to wash". Its kind of aggrivating

I found out that Tinder has a limit on likes in a day.

 

Haven't used it since last summer, decided to fire it up, cause boring here.

I know people say revenge isn't sweet, but right now I feel like it is. I got revenge on two people I have been harbouring anger against for about a year and a half and now that I know I probably won't ever see them again, I did attack them and I might be a bad person for it but I have had three friends kill themselves over being too fat or too skinny and it's sent me into a meltdown over people who go too far when insulting people especially based on weight and yes, I called people out (my boyfriend's best friends who insulted me for similar reasons) but I did also just talk about awareness of mental health and that you can have your own views on stuff of course but be a bit more considerate because you don't know what someone is going through. just because someone is laughing and smiling with you doesn't mean they're happy inside and depression affects a lot of people

 

and yes i was bloody personal with insults and i might look bad but i don't actually care how i look. the desired effect has happened, they want to apologise to me but most of all they feel embarrassed and shocked that they've thought they got away with it and that they were never going to be confronted or shamed

 

i got them when they least expected it. they thought the rage in me had cooled down when i just put a lid on it until the time was right and i'm bloody gleeful right now. yes my boyfriend is like scared of drama but there is no drama here, i have just sealed my fate with people i never liked in the first place, i've just made it clear that we will never be friends and i think that that has done us all a world of good because now nobody is being fake here and we can just truly move on with our lives without any pretences. i guess it kinda is the making of the new me in a way. i won't take stuff lying down anymore, i'm not hot-headed but i've had 20 years of being trodden on by various people and i just say whatever karma etc but now, i'm speaking up. people keep their emotions inside and get snowed under and i dont want to be one of those people. 

 

in other news kinda mad i'm being milked for all my money. paying for my flight and insurance, residence costs and travel from the airport to the uni has drained me. and now they want me to buy a bus pass and student  card, duvet and other bed linens and cutlery/pots and pans and plates but i've teamed up with my room mate and she seems nice so i think we might just buy the stuff together from walmart or something (ahhh im going canada omg) never been to a walmart before i'm so exciteddddd  :o  :o  :o  :o

I got an $80 toothbrush for $6. And it's all thanks to a good combination of sales, discounts, coupons, and somehow a little bit of KY jelly.

i go to uni in an english town and the nightlife is poor. i went out in a city to visit some other friends from school (nottingham) once and it was miles better

They were in Canada for like 2 years. Then they pulled out for lack of sales.

Went camping with friends for the weekend. Three days. $400 in charges on my credit card, all used to pay for this trip.

 

Jesus. I basically ended up paying for one friend because he's completely broke, and I don't know if I'll ever see that money again. :/

 

At least I'm not living paycheck to paycheck too, I guess.

I've been hit by cars turning or pulling out, but never rear ended. I really just don't even know how that can happen lol. 

Lays chips (crisps for you nerds across the pond) released four new flavors from their "suggest a flavor" campaign and I've sampled all of them. We have West Coast Truffle Fries, Southern Biscuits and Gravy, New York Reuben Sandwich, and Greektown. The rankings are as follows: Biscuits and Gravy > Reuben Sandwich > Truffle Fries >>>>>>>>> Gyro.

 

Seriously, the biscuits and gravy ones were one of the best chips I've ever had and everyone I work with agreed that it was the best of the four flavors. It's was an even mix between Truffle Fries and Gyro for the worst, but for me it was because the Truffle Fries didn't taste like anything but the Gyro was straight nasty. Anyway. You've heard it from me so now you don't have to torture your taste buds if you want to try them. You're welcome. Get Biscuits and Gravy flavor.

How exactly did he get rear ended? Does your city not have bike lanes Kalphite?

Well (a) cars probably go faster than bikes most of the time, (b) cars tailgate like crazy without regard to even other cars sometimes, and © I believe a bike can brake faster than a car...so, if you have to stop suddenly for something, it seems entirely plausible...

I've passed the D.K.T. (Driver's Knowledge Test) today and have received my learner drivers license. For some reason I feel accomplished because of it.  :rolleyes:

Never wanted to.

I never learned either. I think my parents wanted me to wear a mouthguard or something for teeth in case I fell and that just didn't seem appealing so I said forget it.

My dad would get so pissed. He'd always want me to do it and I'd rather play catch so we'd always play catch instead

You guys missed out. Bikes were like the closet thing you could get to freedom as a child.

I never learned how to rollerblade/rollerskate. But fortunately nobody does that anymore :lol:
