I think I've pinched a nerve in my lower back but I have to work another 30 hours over the next three days before I'm available to even try to seek treatment. Hurts SO much.

I don't expect to convince you, and frankly, I'm happy that this is the case (and am displeased that election season has been announced and I can't say for certain who I will vote for, I like to get that out of the way prior to the god forsaken political ads start in earnest).

There was a concert at work today. Had some amazing bands come by on their way up to Outside Lands festival here. It was a pretty fantastic time.

 

Kinda weird that I'm already coming back to Michigan this Saturday, as my internship also ends on Friday. Wish I would have thought to stay for Outside Lands, but it'll be nice to be home. I should be packing but daydrinking put its toll on ya~

There was an interestng article on the Guardian a few days ago about the capitalistic system. It can't work anymore. In the Western world. Since technology has taken over so much jobs and wealth has gathered to so little people it is bound to collapse.

 

In other news, the weather is absolutely shitty. 30 mm's or over an inch of rain today. And barely above freezing temperatures.

Working with metals barehanded is not fun.

You're suffering in extreme cold and i'm suffering in extreme heat. Every day is in the 40s now (at least thats what it feels like), with the humidity getting higher and higher. I've been growing a herb/vegetable garden outside so i'm working outside 2 or 3 hours each day and it gets pretty tough. I can't imagine what it feels like working in this heat for extended periods of time.

Got invited to Toronto and surrounding neighbourhood for next June. A large party hosted by expat Estonians there, and they also have organized stuff to do there for 2 weeks.

 

If I manage to scratch together enough money (I hope most of the expenses will be paid by the hosts) I will definitely go.

Will be epic, if I get there.

My parents have some knocking around that has a little bit of codeine as well. I have no idea where they got them (as in, I don't know if they bought them here, or during a trip to the states, or maybe they were an online order). Unlike normal ibuprofen, they actually get rid of pain instead of just dulling it. Might be worth wandering to your local pharmacist and asking about them.

 

Makes me wonder why we don't just have 8mg codeine tablets and spare the liver damage  :unsure:

Can't-then the junkies buy them all. 8mg codeine is practically an oxy to most pill folk.

 

But id love me some vicoden right about now. Just 24 more hours til my last shift of the week ends. 1200mg of ibuprofen got me through the past 15 hours. And it still hurt a bit when I was plucking spinach leaves for garnishing. And by a bit I mean it felt like my spine was being inflated with red hot soup broth.

On Canadian elections, heard a good story the other day by which during build up training for Afghanistan one of my staff ended up pulling security for Trudeau who was doing a publicity thing. First he pissed off the staff by stomping through the woods while they were attempting to go all sneaky beaky like. Then when they got to the location they were supposed to be Trudeau's gear had an error (Wes gear/miles gear) causing the guy to tackle him into a big pile of cow manure.

Come on man, that was such a B.S. ending! :P

No-one knows. Well, he disappeared off the face of the earth a few months back, at least, he doesn't post at our old, decaying, dead joint anymore.

Despite the fact we haven't heard from him in months, I can confidently say that, no, he hasn't gotten over the sexism inherent to his fear of women.

Beat the hell out a thief, fool, and terrible person over the weekend. Pinned him down and he started crying after a few punches. I let him go with a promise he would never return to my any of my families property. I grabbed his hand and helped him up, but in return he sucker punched me. I didn't even stagger as I was so in awe of his stupidity. I believe I handled things fairly well as I have a few scratches, but he is really torn up. I pray he isn't foolish enough to ever return. Toxic people are a dime a dozen.

On a somewhat related note, got a box of crazy delicious chocolates from work. Still happy to have my last day of work for a while on Saturday though. After that it's a trip to my relatives in Egypt (meh) and the hiking trip through Norway with my friends (holy shit I'm still totally unprepared but it'll still be awesome). After that it's about 2-3 months of flat rest before heading to Switzerland for the winter. 

Yup pinched a nerve in my neck. Doctor said take it easy. I'm scheduled for 50+ hours the next the weeks. [bleep].

Got my schedule for the new program I'm going into, 8am start 3 days a week. Kill me.
