"The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die" is actually one band. They're from the town next to where I went to college. A lot of people fiend them.

 

 

They're alright I guess. Pretentious emo shit for the most part. I've got a couple friends in that scene, my understanding from them is that they're kind of [wagon].

 

Edit: If you guys want some solid stuff from Connecticut, check out Have a Nice Life (The album Deathconciousness specifically) and Cop (the EP Render. These guys are dope and also I'm friends with some of the guys in the band so gotta give them shouts)

I gotta say though that the emo scene has gotten a lot better in the last 3 or 4 years. It was awful for the longest time, now there's a bunch of great bands out there

Just went and saw the new Fantastic Four movie. It was pretty meh overall as a movie with decent effects but not enough keblewy kind of things.

 

Something that really threw me off though is that the group are all supposed to be geniuses or close to it and the writers had them tell a Hitler joke about him being from Germany. I guess it is easier for the masses to get the joke but it really annoyed me and threw me off.

Was browsing the Xbox store earlier today and noticed that The Binding of Isaac was now on Xbox. Apparently has been for about a month now. Decided to get it. It's pretty damn difficult. But it's so fun. I can really see why people love the game so much.

Was browsing the Xbox store earlier today and noticed that The Binding of Isaac was now on Xbox. Apparently has been for about a month now. Decided to get it. It's pretty damn difficult. But it's so fun. I can really see why people love the game so much.

 

Yeah, I really liked the BoI. Got platinum god but haven't actually touched Rebirth.

I thought about it, but the more i see game-play of BO3 the more i lose interest. I think BO3 is overhyped purely because it's a Treyarch game, and everyone is expecting another BO2. I expect BO3 to be the same disaster AW is/was.The game looks pretty terrible at the moment.

I've been watching BoI on Youtube for the past 2 years or something. For some reason i never bothered getting it. It's kind of a bad thing, because i know more or less what everything does but i have no personal experience with it. So i play far to risky for my current skill level. Deaths have been plenty. 

Today is my day off, so I Took the kiddo to the park, got sunburnt (me not her, she was wearing sun cream), came home, had a nap, now waiting on dinner.

 

So not a bad day really.

Had my first round of product management interviews with Google today and I feel like they went dramatically better than the ones for my engineering role somehow even though I had never done these types of interviews. I guess I'll find out in a couple weeks.

Whole day of AC: Rogue. I feel bad for not moving, but damn it is a good game. Improves on Black Flag on pretty much any aspect.

Work, classes in order, and i come home and let the new dog out of the kennel. All i can say is I'M GONNA REK IT!!!

So I officially worked 71 hours 44 mins last week. My max hours available this week are already down to 60, but I'm ok with that.

What part of Ops 3 looks bad?

Quite a few things in my personal opinion.

 

1. Specialist abilities. Basically just an excuse to reward bad players. I'm also not a fan of the instagib weapon(s?) some of the specialists have. And the rejack (i think that's what it's called) is basically second chance. Don't like it one bit.

2. The "advanced movement" or whatever Treyarch chooses to call it. I know it's not anywhere as bad as AW, but it's still too much. I prefer Black Ops 2 movement over this.

3. This is kind of stupid, but i don't like the way characters run in Black Ops 3. If you watch them run with a pistol in their hands, it kind of looks... like a retard running. Just looks weird. Also, it's too cartoony. 

4. Guns sound terrible. They're back the the rusty bike chains of MW3.

5. Pistols are too good. In BO2 they were basically second primaries instead of secondaries. They seem to be the same in BO3.

 

There are also a few things regarding competitive CoD that i'm not keen on, but since we don't know the ruleset yet i can't really say too much about that.

 

I'll wait and see what it's like a month or two after release and decide if i want to go ahead and buy it, but for now i don't think i will. 

Today, national Jeopardy producer called me and asked if I want to take part in the show again.

Apparently they were impressed with me being the pretty much youngest ever participant.

 

Can't take part this season, filming's already on next week, yet I won't return to homeland until 9/11.

Promised to call me again in January when next season filming starts.
