I got rear ended by a cop. She ticketed me for being stopped in the middle of the road. I was at a stop light. She smelt like alcohol.

I started work on a simple matchmaking/game lobby server application in Java. It will be for a game I am working on.

I am attempting to create a framework of a 3D rpg with networking support so later on, it can be a MMORPG.

I don't know quite what I did last night. My mouth tastes kind of like turpentine, and my throat is burning... no hangover though, so that's not too bad. Just got home from my last exam for the term, now I plan to complete my 4 assignments in three days through sheer force of will and REAL COFFEE, ICE COLD.

Har. On the topic of graphics calculators, my school is buying like 40 crazy high-tech ones. They're touch-screen and really awesome. o_o

 

Lucky they're only being used from next year onwards, figuring out all the commands on the TI-84 was hard enough. D:

 

Rewriting my English essay, removing a couple of paragraphs, rewriting them, just generally screwing with it. It's not fun.

I prefer essays to speeches and visual representations (I'm not explaining it if you don't get it), but they're still terrible.

Need graphics calculators to graph parabolas and ... stuff in HS. Wow, you guys must be [developmentally delayed]s. We were never allowed so there was no need for it. That's what calculus teaches you. Whats the point of making it that easy then ? :lol:

I love speeches and debates and stuff, mainly because I'm a massive dramawhore, and since it's only high-school, I can pretty much be as ridiculously over the top as I like and still walk away with an A+. And of course there's the fact that I tend to ramble a lot while writing essays, so I need to like review my drafts twice to cut out all the pointless blather. D:

 

@adrenal - I don't really understand why people ask those questions. It just irks me how in maths we spend like a week wading through chapters of algebraic tedium and then it turns out there's an easier and much faster way to do it, and they were just padding out time with the other stuff. I think that if there's a machine that does it for you faster, you should take full advantage of it. :3

 

Plus, I don't think there'll ever be a situation in life where I need to optimise an equation to find out the maximum population of a colony of birds in the span of herpa derpa durr.

Maths is a hell of a lot better than English, that's for sure. Who gives a crap about Shakespeare? He wrote some shizz, was apparently good (Yeah, apparently, I don't think it's that good) and died. Poetry? It sucks. It's boring, doesn't do anything for me. Speeches? Yeah, I don't think I'll be needing public speaking any time soon, if so, I'll do fine. Essays are also pointless. Plus it ruins decent books and movies. Yeah, Sixth Sense was cool, and now it's not, can we not watch it for a third time?

Though Maths on the other hand, I enjoy it, I liek equations and getting them done, plus I like my Physics and Chemistry, both need Maths in great detail.

You need to take a better attitude towards your exams, Felix :s

No, no no and no. You're in school to learn and to think for yourself, not to be a computer. The only reason someone should need to use a calculator is if they're multiplying a five digit number with itself five times over, and they never ask those questions in school anyways.

 

If you don't know why 9 x 9 is 81 because you're used to the answer 'because the calculator says it is so it must be so' then you're pretty much useless to society. You might not do everything on pen and paper at 'work' but you won't get the job in the first place if you don't know the 'why's.

I did this test to see what govt. assistance I qualified for earlier. By putting in all correct details, I barly qualified for anything even with my very low income. By changing my race/nationality to something different, I could be living for free, eating for free, going to college for free, get a 500 dollar a month spending allowance, and get a free cell phone.
