I cant take it anymore! Im [bleep]ing 20 with no life and going no where because no one will help or employ me despite have years of god damn experience@@@@

Had my first dream last night that involved someone from Tip.it. Turns out they were playing cricket for New Zealand, and I saw them on tv, and was like "I KNOW THAT PERSON!!!!". I was really excited, until I opened my eyes, and it was only just

.

 

I've had a dream like that before. Then I realised I need to get off the internet and go outside some more.

Timmy, you've gotta just keep hammering the same business over and over again to show that you're interested.

 

It took me a good 2-3 months for me to get my job. My brother had previously worked there, so they were a bit hesitant to employ me as he wasn't the... best worker, and they assumed I would be the same.

 

I kept setting up interviews, week after week after week, checking up on my application. They finally met with me, and now I'm a manager there, going on 5 years of employment.

 

Show them that it is silly to NOT hire you; you need to prove that you're going to be an asset to their company. If they tell you that they "aren't hiring," wait a week and check again - don't just move on to the next business.

 

Also, maybe redo your resume if you've got one. If you don't, do. Resumes aren't required for a lot of places, but in the "real world" of adult business, they are pretty essential. Don't LIE on your resume of course, but keep in mind that it is your chance to showcase your skills and previous employment; it's okay to brag a little here, as long as you don't embelish the truth.

 

If you're able, get previous employers or teachers to write up reccomendations for you.

How can you dream about a TIFer anyways? Unless you're constantly in the RL pictures thread, it would be pretty hard to connect faces to names.

Wow, being a scientist rocks. I was at university for about 5 hours today but only in the lab for a total of 1. My day: incubate 1 hour, come back, add enzyme, incubate more, add another enzyme, incubate, run gel, cut out gel, purify, incubate, ect. The rest of the time I get to hang out with friends, and university friends are actually fun to hang around with even though I'm sober :thumbup:

Didn't do much today. Spoke with my brother, and some friends on Skype. Just sat at home and was lazy.

Spent the day packing today for camp tomorrow. No Tip.It for a week :(

Going to play Halo 3 soon.

Spent pretty much all day at school, and I was actually supposed to go into work today. Ahh well, there's always tomorrow. Need to go to the library sometime, and pay the internet bill. Exciting rest of the week isn't it? So much snow, and I don't wanna go out in the cold tomorrow, it's nice and warm in my apartment.

So... at the store just now, I finally found a thing of ramen noodles that does NOT have animal products in it.

 

This is the first time I'm eating ramen in six years.

 

I'm a little emotional at the moment.

Anyway, business as usual. Friend had work to go to later that day, so - walked up to the trainstation at 2:16AM - saw that next train was at 4:52AM. Because of that - played pinkies [i came second] and went on the teacup until 4. Goodnight, all in all. :thumbup:

 

Ran out of beer though, liquor stores here close at 11 and we couldn't be bothered to go to Woolworths. Eh.
