What the hell is with you people. Snow days are terrible. Sure, it's fun in the snow, but do you really like walking in the sludgy mess when it thaws, or the icy roads if it stays cold?

The optimistic view outweighs the pessimistic view, in my opinion.

I've had 5 [bleep]ing snow days. One in like October that they closed school because they couldn't get the plows and [cabbage] ready in time for the coming storm, and then it never snowed at all. Three of them have been in the last week or so.

 

I'm getting sick of them, but I needed this one.

Snow days are nice in my area because they're rare, so it's an unexpected break. Yeah, snow can be annoying, but it's worse when there's no snow and the air is just cold and dry and my hands freeze solid on the way to school.

 

Shoveling sort of kills the lazy vibe, though.

Snow days are just a way for me to relieve myself of school I will be doing later in the week. Rarely do I actually hangout with friends on snow days, because usually they are only for one day and mid-week. :mellow:

I was so unimpressed with myself, especially since she was one of the hottest to date. Other than that, I'm starting to become a pro at all this lab/research stuff, I can now make agar plates like it's nobodies business :)

So mad, just about everybody else around here has had at least one snowday, we haven't had any, not even a delay. Thought today might be one, because it was windy and snowing a lot last night, but it stopped. Had a half day because of exams, I feel pretty decent about my calc exam, I think I got a solid B- (B if he curves it :P). All the rest of my exams were easy (computer repair, engineering, literature terms). I also took my test out exam for Chem 1, I think I got maybe 15 of 100 questions wrong, which is an 85, which is passing, which means I probably won't have to take the class.

 

Now I'm wasting time on here. I might go draw something because I haven't done that in a while.

At my school unless there's so much snow the subway shuts down we don't get the day off. So we've never had a snow day.

On topic, today I had school. Primary/Secondary/Tertiary protein structures isn't the easiest.

Wow I wasnt expecting I'd have to go into detail but; it's not that it didn't get hard its that it wasn't consistent, because I was hammed.

Protein structure levels is the easiest thing in the world unless you're expected to know all 20 amino acids, their R groups and how to predict second/tert structures based solely on the primary structure.

3 megabits = 3/8 megabytes per second = .375 = 375 kilobytes per second. That's a good 50x faster than dial-up, give or take. It will vary though depending on conditions.

That's about right. I've a pretty stable 3 megabits connection, with a max download speed of 400kbps~

Cool. weekend ruined already. Friend's sister is away and forgot about my hair, sister wont because shes going out to dinner in a moment and the only hair cut dad knows is military cut, and everyones attacking me for wanting a diff hair colour. Mom does it weekly! All I want was a change and they wont even let me change myself! its no wonder I hate them...

Their house, their rules. I dont follow, I get kicked out and since i dont have the luxury of others where they have a relative or friend to stay with, I dont have that so it'd be out on the streets.

I just did a week of day shifts. I was dead-tired through the entire week. I don't know how people can stand getting up at 6:00am every day, but apparently I have to try it for another week, despite being told it was "1 week only". I'm guessing the idiots forgot to train enough people to run the line 2 shifts and need me to fill the final spot on days. If not, I'll be even less happy. The only positive is the line might not be able to run at all, since certain parts we need for it don't exist. They can feel free to cancel my shifts for the week and let me get the sleep I missed last week.

Was gonna go out with my girl last night, but I could tell that she didn't feel like it. So we stayed in and watched Pirates of the Caribbean 3 and had just as much fun. It was nice to have some alone time with her for once.

 

Today we're going to a basketball game before she has practice for a show that she's in.

 

Oh, and the Black Keys are on Austin City Limits tonight as well, so I'm pretty pumped.

I have 100g of crisps and 400g of sweets and a couple of beers.

Now i just need to find a movie before i pig out.

Off to Sydney 'till Tuesday. It'll be a nice break from this place.
