Blaargh. Installed Ubuntu today, now I can't get it to locate my 56k fax modem, which I need to connect to the internet (I'm on dial up)

I posted a thread in the Tech help board, but no response yet there. Can someone help me out?

 

Deleting System 32 is always a stupidsmart thing to do and is sure to ruin your computer fix your problem! :thumbup::shades:

Prepping my brain for the interview tomorrow. So damn nervous about it, having my ugly mug in the paper. :ohnoes:

Today I fixed my car as I said above, watched Lord of the Rings, played Minecraft, and texted my girlfriend. And that's pretty much it. I have no where to go without her here, so it's back to the old ways of sitting on the internet for hours every day. Such is life.

It's supposed to be like 30F. Which is just about perfect skiing temperature. So change the word warm to not-balls-retreating-inside-you-cold if you'd like.

Got all my stuff sorted out for tomorrows paper, I just need to shave my minor-yet-untidy facial hair, have a good scrub and get my clothes out ready. :thumbup:

 

Im also thinking of going to the local tavern for dinner tonight or getting Chinese takeaway to both calm myself and reward myself for such a kick-ass role. :shades:

today I hired another person, did the paper work and everything. I thikn i can officially put "I hire people" on my resume on top of the 789876788595 other things I've learned to do at my job these past 2 months.

Slept for 11 hours, woke up at 10. Played some Black Ops Zombies with a friend online, then went with a couple other friends to Sky High (the giant-ass trampoline place I posted about before). Then one of my friends' parents took us to Taco Bell and we all got to eat whatever we want, and they payed for it. Got home, played some more xbox, then had breakfast for dinner (bacon, eggs, and toast) with some triple fudge ice cream for dessert. Now Protest the Hero's new album just leaked, which I am listening to now.

At home trying to sober up so I can properly text a girl... I didn't realize I was drinking a Guiness right when I came home, had to save it for the morning and it'll be all warm and stuff :thumbdown:

Just realised today I'd been using the same FF sig I made with the name "Maleficus1055" on it forever, even though I had been "Army" since the display name addition to this forum.

So in light of my current display name I just whipped up this sig, not too bad for something made in ~15 minutes.

As Tim stated a page or two back, yeah I did go raving, 18 hours after it ended I'm still experiencing strong ringing in my ears, and what my friends call train beats. Train beats is when normal sounds - such as the clunk clunk of the train moving along - are interpreted to be hardstyle beats by your brain from long exposure to extremely loud hardstyle music. My girlfriend's fan playing me a hardstyle song was a high point of my weekend.

 

I also put forth the idea of February being STD awareness month for OT. STD in this case will mean Sexual Topic Discussion.

What job where you getting interviewed for?

Just got home from Naka-kon. Left at 8 A.M. and it's about 7 P.M. right now. I couldn't make it friday or Saturday but at least made it today. Kasas City needs more than one anime convention a year.

 

Went into the dealers room with ~$100 and decided after that was gone I wouldn't buy anything else from there. Ended up buying a sierra mist with my debit card. mlia.
