PhaperPlane
Got an email today from my first choice university about booking an allocated time for me to move in when term begins! But first I have to go through tons of information and answer a questionnaire for each section. :/ Looks like the halls of residence is pretty strict, but I guess it helps keep the peace. Ouchy
It finally feels like winter in Auckland. My car said 6 degrees this morning when I was going to training. Y SO COLD D: Also, here's a protip for you, Shiny, Jeffwilson, Doomy, Wongtong, and anyone else from NZ.DON'T EAT MAORI POTATOES. For the next 24 hours you will loose all your friends, and cannot be left in confined spaces. My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.

Tesset
We have snow! Drving round in the snow is fun, if you catch my drift :shades:Drift as in you drifted in the snow or as in there were lots of snow drifts? Or did you drift into the snow drifts? That would be even better. My skin is finally getting softI'll scrub until the damn thing comes off

sarg1010
Went to Target today, happened to go past the Lego isle, and took a stroll down to look at the sets... MAN HAVE THEY GOTTEN EXPENSIVE. Older lego sets were the [cabbage]... these new ones aren't that great. A set that contained what seemed to be just a gate and three minifigures cost $50.00, and it wasn't even the size of my forearm. It's crazy... This was it. Not even close to being worth $50.00. Maybe $20.00. Unfinished netherrack symbol of Khorne. Never forget. ~creeper face w/single tear~ DO YOU HEAR THE VOICES TOO?!?!
Duff
Went over to my friends house and found some super old school skateboards. They were about the size of this one, but were more decorated. They were tough as hell to ride, but I'm totally bringing them up to college just for fun. Not many people have seen them nowadays. They were his great aunts. Wish I had taken a picture of the two. | My Tumblr |

H2PM
Plastic is getting more and more expensive these days. And I agree with Kylan, sort of. I don't really like those kinds of sets. I enjoyed the ships from Star Wars more than anything from Lego. Giordano
The sets from back in my day, didn't contain many custom pieces unlike now where they're 80% of the damn product. Sets were the top prize in legos, 'cos they were expensive, and I admired them from my vanilla blocked town. "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is." Bows
Gio you post too much. About the Lego discussion; back when I was younger they were so much cheaper... I do miss building crap all the time though. They're too much for me to buy on a regular basis now.
Duff
I remember when the whole pirate/knight LEGO theme was in. That was way back when I was younger. My older brother collected LEGOs and I say, it was one of the coolest hobbies. None of that custom piece crap. The only custom piece there was was the dragon (and the flame that you could either stick in his mouth or mount on a torch). The pirate ships were pretty darn cool, too. I'll have to ask him if he still has those. I'd say he spent a good deal of money on all his LEGOs. I distinctly remember walking into his room and there being a whole town set up. It was fascinating. | My Tumblr |
Range_This11
I didn't really play much with LEGOs but I did assemble and paint--very poorly, I might add--model cars and airplanes as a kid.
